Alfred Hing Ka Chan

I am an attorney and principal at A.H. CHAN LAW FIRM, PC, where I practice a broad spectrum of commercial litigation and transaction, intellectual property law, and employment and labor law.  I also handle personal injury and family law matters.

As a litigator, I have successfully litigated cases in both state and federal courts at both trial and appellate levels.  I have handled numerous cases involving business disputes, shareholder disputes, breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secret, trademark and copyright infringement cases, real estate, construction contract disputes, labor and employment, and general litigation. 

As a business lawyer, I regularly consult and advise domestic and international entrepreneurs, business organizations, and publicly traded companies in a wide range of industries, including technology, online gaming, e-commerce, software, restaurants, automobile dealers, shipping and logistics, apparel, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, import and export companies, real estate developers, general contractors, and property management companies. 

I also maintain a pro bono practice, regularly taking referrals from local legal aids.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and earned my Juris Doctorate degree from Whittier Law School, where I was a member of the Whittier Law Review and fulfilled the academic requirements for the Center for Intellectual Property Law.  I am admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Central District of California, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and Supreme Court of the State of California.
