In 2015, I became ill and began to feel numbness and tingling on the left side of my body. I also experienced left sided weakness, memory loss, balance issues, falls and started to forget my words and the ability to resolve math problems. My life changed a couple of years ago after having a surgery. As a result I suffered from extensive nerve damage. I was shaking, crying and in so much gratitude. We had won the appeal! I could now pay my bills, continue to get the medical attention needed and pay my basic necessities. I realize I have a very long journey ahead but having my condition acknowledged and to alleviate some of the stress of the medical hardship made my fear lessen!
