My life changed a couple of years ago after having a surgery. As a result I suffered from extensive nerve damage. I am in chronic pain that elevated to from an 8 to 10 daily on a pain scale from 1 to 10. Before the surgery I lived an active and fulfilling personal life. I thrived in my professional l...ife. My passions and purpose were now a distant memory. I could no longer sit, stand, sleep, cook or any other basic functions without excruciating pain. The ability to support my daughter at her recitals, college tours and awards ceremony due to my illness was NO longer an option. That was the most painful of all of this. I was shaking, crying and in so much gratitude. We had won the appeal! I could now pay my bills, continue to get the medical attention needed and pay my basic necessities. I realize I have a very long journey ahead but having my condition acknowledged and to alleviate some of the stress of the medical hardship made my fear lessen!
