Saman Behnam

I was referred to Mr. Behnam for a consult after learning my husband filed for divorce and obviously I was quite frantic and he couldn't have been less sympathetic or understanding. Not my fault he was put on this referral list. He talked down to me just like my husband used to. We must have had a... bad connection which he used in the end to hang up on me.

Mr. Behnam stood us up on Friday Nov. 14th and we have not received any communication from him or his office since. We had made an appointment about 10 days prior for a 10 a.m. visit. My wife and I each took the day off work and drove 20 miles round-trip from our home to meet with this attorney. ...Upon our arrival at the attorney's office, his receptionist told us: “Mr. Behnam is not in. Would you like to make an appointment?” When we told her we already had an appointment and asked where Mr. Behnam was, she was clearly at a loss for words. She finally improvised something about his “having an emergency” which then turned into his “having to go to court.” We asked why no one had called us at our home that morning to tell us about the change of plans, and she couldn’t answer that question either. We told the receptionist that we would appreciate her telling Mr. Behnam about our great displeasure at this turn of events and how unprofessional we felt this behavior was. She nodded her head. Later, when we arrived home, we checked for any missed phone messages that might have come in earlier that morning, but (surprise) there were none. And there were no messages on our personal cell phones either. And, as I said, we have never heard another word in the weeks since. Obviously we won’t be doing business in the future with this attorney (who had successfully helped us with a legal matter about a year before).

I was being bullied by my landlord and convinced I would be evicted soon for discriminatory reasons. I was referred to Mr. Behnam's firm by the Legal Club of America. I am tremendously grateful for the representation he has given me since I became a client. He vigorously fought to keep us out of e...viction court in order to save me money from court and *lawyer* fees. I was amazed by how much peace of mind having good representation can bring. I would not only recommend him to a friend for any legal matter, I would insist that they go to no other.
