Arthur Minas is an Immigration Attorney based in Los Angeles. His practice focuses on representing clients with cases before the Los Angeles Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, U.S. District Court, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
In the Immigration Court, Mr. Minas has represented hundreds of clients facing removal, successfully challenged allegations of grounds of removability or deportability from the Department of Homeland Security, as well as secured relief from Immigration Judges in the form of adjustment of status, removal of conditions of residence, waivers of inadmissibility, cancellation of removal, asylum and withholding of removal.
Mr. Minas also has years of experience personally appearing with clients in complex immigration interviews before USCIS in and around Southern California. His experience representing clients before USCIS has been provided him with invaluable knowledge and insight to share with clients seeking immigration benefits such as naturalization and permanent residence.
Mr. Minas also has experience in employment-based immigration, including Extraordinary Individuals (EB-1), National Interest Waivers (EB-2), and Skilled Workers (EB-3). Mr. Minas also helps Small-Business Investors (E-2 visa) and Company Transfers (L-1 visa).
Mr. Minas received a degree in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz in June of 2007 and graduated with a J. D. from Whittier Law School in May of 2012 with a focus in International and Comparative Law. He was admitted into the California State Bar in 2013, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in 2017, and the U.S. District Court, Central District of California in 2020. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Armenian.
Mr. Minas is a Past Chair and current member of the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Immigration & Nationality Section. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Inspired Sound Initiative, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing under-served communities with music, dance, and storytelling workshops that promote mindfulness, peace, unity, harmony and understanding among diverse cultures in an effort to reduce bullying, racism, hate, crime, radicalism and violence. When he is not practicing immigration law, Mr. Minas plays the oud as a community member with the UCLA Near East Ensemble.
