I interviewed three different firms in the area to make the most informed decision possible. While the other firms were fine, I felt more like a cookie-cutter customer receiving a sales pitch. Here's my list of perks I found working with Mark that other firms didn't seem to provide: He is very professional (but not cold!), and it's obvious he cares a lot about protecting his clients. He makes no lofty promises and gives it to you straight, pulling from his years of experience witnessing how other trusts have played out in the end. Mark builds an on-going relationship with you to keep your living trust current to ever-changing laws and life situations (a yearly check-in). Other firms treated the trust as a one-and-done transaction. I've had other firms promise me that they could easily include my out-of-state property without consulting a professional in that particular state. Not good. There are SO many things that can go wrong between different state laws. Mark was adamant I find the correct people to get this essential piece of the puzzle transferred into my trust. He doesn't take chances with the future of your assets! Between his office being part of a thriving legal firm and his years of experience as a police sergeant, Mark is very experienced and well-connected. Seriously. As a younger person taking my first steps into the world of business and lawyers, I'm so happy to have found Mark who can help connect me to the legal and professional resources I need beyond estate planning. Now, the problem with writing reviews about wills and trusts, you really couldn't rate their efficacy until you're gone, right? Regardless, I feel confident Mark is the best lawyer to protect my assets and medical choices if anything happens to me in the future. He seriously took a huge load off my mind.
