Ester Kim

Ester was recommended to me by a friend and I am forever grateful. Ester and all the parties that worked with/for her (e.g., paralegal) were perfectly in line with what I wanted out of my divorce. I just wanted a fair divorce and to maintain my integrity. I did not want to go for the jugular. My ex-h...usband was dealing with some mental health problems and was lying and draining joint accounts and so I just wanted the fastest and cleanest way out while still ensuring some sense of equity. My ex-husband’s attorney was the exact opposite of Ester and tried to get as much money out of me as possible- really just attempting to cripple me financially when what we were offering was more than fair. They also refused to settle on anything reasonable and drew out proceedings as long as they possibly could, going for emotional distress. It really was traumatic and, more importantly, disappointing. I’m sorry to anyone that is going through the same. Ester was very supportive and a great legal guide through this tough time. I understand that, in some cases, it does make sense for one spouse to hand over hundreds of thousands of dollars to their soon-to-be ex in the name of what was shared during the marriage. This was not one of those cases. If you are divorcing any kind of narcissist, abuser, someone who is mentally ill, someone who is lying, or someone whose attorney is out for blood, go with Ester. She knows how to tame wild dogs. I am so happy to be divorced, to have what I consider a fair split of assets, and to have my dignity in tact. My ex-husband and his attorney cannot say the same. That’s all thanks to Ester. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Unfortunately, fathers have very few rights when it comes to caring for their children. Fathers are seen as a financial provider who gets visitation with their Children, if allowed. However; I wanted my children to remain with me and to be comfortable in the home they were accustomed to from birth.... I found Ester on this site and because of her reviews, I made an appointment with her. Ester is an amazing family attorney. She helped me to gain custody of my children. Ester is very professional, to the point, and she doesn’t sugar coat anything, therefore; I knew where I stood at all times during my court hearings. Ester was up against a very difficult and unreasonable opposing attorney, but with her professional demeanor, and with calmest, she was able to bring order to a very disorderly opposition in my favor. I highly recommend Ester, I trusted her with my and my children’s future and she came through for me with flying colors. Thank you Ester!

I am writing this review for multiple reasons. First and foremost, Hiring Ester Kim was and is worth every penny. Ester has an ethical value that you cannot find in most other lawyers. If I knew nothing else about this awesome lawyer it would have been enough. Luckily, I was able to learn much more.... I hired Ester in 2016 after I had already began fighting for my rights as a father This had taken me 5 years to get enough courage to stand up against the mother of my children. My generation came from the belief that women had all the rights to their children and the fathers were only there for financial support. It was the purity of my beautiful children that gave me the courage to fight. The day they asked me to fight for my fair share of time with them was the day i gained that very strength. I was determined to show them that I wanted to be in their lives and also to teach them that no matter what, even if the odds were against you, you still fight for what you believe in. ( stay with me, I have a point to this). I felt that if I could accomplish my goal by myself I would be teaching my children about resolve, determination, and justice. Then it came to the period of time when I had to appear in court and try to express to our legal system why I felt that I deserved to be in their lives as well as have a voice in the way they were being raised. By Chance, I had met Ester a few months prior and she was always kind enough to give me guidance without even hinting towards any compensation for her help. She instantly gained my trust. I really appreciated her honesty and ethics. I had already been into the case for around 10 months when Ester agreed to represent me. with just one meeting, she was able to pick up and lead me into what I felt was a great victory. She was efficient, fast, and has an ability to pay attention to detail that I have no doubt helped me greatly in my case. Ester Kim is professional, fair, understanding, and with out a doubt an all around good person. I would have no one else in my corner.
