Mr. Soheil Levy is the reason why today’s DVRO hearing went in my mom’s favor today. Throughout the process leading up to the hearing, Mr. Soheil Levy was dependable, empathetic, and attentive. Regarding the incident about which the hearing was concerned, he encouraged my mom to share as much as poss...ible with him, and he immediately reviewed and studied the 7 plus page documentation that my mom sent to him, which made her feel heard, and made us feel confident in him. He paid close attention to what she shared with him, and helped her craft a winning defense that was rooted in truth, a virtue that he felt was important to adhere to when shaping my mom’s defense. During the trial, he followed the judge’s procedure and maintained professionalism without losing assertiveness or faltering. It was clear in his presentation that he had the details committed to memory. He didn’t forget a single point! He very obviously cared as much about vindicating my mom as she and my family did. His cross examination was perfect. When the petitioner denied an important claim made against her, he called in my uncle, who acted as a witness, in order to impeach the petitioner’s testimony, which was ultimately successful. Before dismissing the case in our favor, the judge made sure to highlight the points made by the defense to show why it was compelling, acknowledged the overwhelming amount of evidence and context it provided, and appreciated that the defense was truthful. Mr. Soheil Levy’s enthusiasm for our case, and his articulate and logical presentation of our strong defense, made clear to the judge that my mom was credible. He was always present with my mom, kind to me and my uncle (both of us were in attendance at the hearing), confident in court, clever as an attorney, and reassuring all throughout. After meeting him, I had no doubt we were going to win. I’m grateful it was Mr. Soheil Levy who represented my mom today. And when I downplayed the stakes of my mom’s case saying, “Now that you’re done with ours, I’m sure you can go back to dealing with cases that actually matter”, Mr. Soheil Levy said, with a warm tone, that “All cases matters, small or large”.
