Biography
Mr. Newman is a graduate of Cornell University and Harvard Law School. He has been a member of the California bar for over 30 years. Mr. Newman was general counsel for Harvey Aluminum, a New York Stock Exchange company, and general counsel, vice-president, and on the board of directors of Herbalife.
Mr. Newman began his career in employment law in 1991, when an actress from the television show "General Hospital," produced by ABC Television, asked Mr. Newman to represent her for sexual harassment.
This case became a cause celebre. As a result, Mr. Newman appeared on the cover of VARIETY and appeared on various shows, including "Current Affair" and "The Geraldo Rivera Show." Mr. Newman has had success in employment cases against hundreds of companies, collecting millions of dollars.
