I hired Jeffrey for a DV case, which later then turned into a DCFS investigation. My daughter was taken away from me, and visitations were with very limited time and had to be monitored. Jeffrey was very calm and encouraging when I first got to his firm. He even opened up his offices on a weekend t...o accommodate me. Immediately, I developed confidence as we designed a fair plan and thoroughly explained to me how he was going to take care of my case in court. From then on, whenever I had a question or concern he always took my calls/texts and responded quickly no matter what time it was. Long story short, DCFS case was deemed unfounded, then, the DVRO case was dissolved. Visitations with joint legal custody were restored. As you can imagine with the seriousness of the accusations against me, it was a very stressful time. We attended court five (5) times. The judge treated Jeffrey with a lot of respect, which was critical as the false accusations were damaging. When it was done, Jeffrey said, “I told you we’d get you here.” With luck, I will never need a lawyer again. If I ever do though, there is only one person I know I will call.

I hired Jeffrey Sklan in September 2019 to represent me as plaintiff in a case against a narcissistic, sociopathic predator who had targeted me. The domestic violence circumstances were complex, and involved law enforcement in two CA venues as well as a third in another state. There was an additional... complication due to the perpetrator being not from the US, so ICE got involved as well once he'd broken his second restraining order. I'd previously given a deposit to another lawyer whose expertise was not sufficient due to how challenging the circumstances were--fortunately he knew which of his peers to recommend. To watch Jeffrey Sklan advocate on my behalf for the last fifteen months, both live in the courtroom and on numerous phone calls, was to observe a master class in law as well as psychology and the navigation of human behavior. This man is a pro at the top of the game. I also appreciate that his EQ matches his IQ. Strong women like me who have been victimized don't like to feel like victims. He championed me from beginning to end, and now that predator is in prison where he belongs. I'm on with my life, thankfully. If I could give Mr. Sklan more stars, I would. Highly recommended.

Jeffery went above and beyond during the COVID-19 epidemic. I had filed a restraining order and had a false restraining order filed against me. Jeffery put my mind at ease during a very scary time not only with my living situation but also with the pandemic. He showed up to court with me over five t...imes with a smile on his face And words of encouragement. He also had the fraudulent restraining orders dismissed but got me my restraining order and is working with me to make right what was wrong. Thank you Jeffery for your smarts and your cool calm and collective demeanor. I wish I could give him 10 stars because five is just not enough!!!

Jeffery came in to help me extend a Restraining Order to protect my 4-year-old son and me from my ex-husband's threats of kidnapping and on-going violence. I have been fighting for my son's safety for four years and have been through three other lawyers.
