Jeffrey Fredrich Sklan

I owe an unlimited debt of gratitude to Attorney Jeffrey Sklan. From the onset he allayed my fear and anxiety by his caring professionalism and precise knowledge of what it would take to put my live back together through a Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. Jeffrey was always on top of what the court require...d and kept me meticulously accountable to what was required of me. He lent invaluable assistance at the time of despair and transparently brought to light any detail that was not understood. I was most appreciative of the fact that Jeffrey seemed well respected by the Judge and the representative from the US Trustee. For that reason I felt secure and confident, knowing that I was affiliated with a highly reputable law firm. I am most grateful for Jeffrey’s kindness, his impeccable professional relationship that was based solely on mutual respect, integrity, trust and caring.

I have known Jeffrey for about 20 years. Recently, I received a notice from my bank that all my money had been garnished. We couldn't pay our household expenses. I was in a panic. When I investigated it-which took a while- I found out that someone had obtained a credit card from Chase, fraudulently 1...3 years go.  A judgment had been taken against me, and then it was renewed 3 years ago. The law firm for the collection agency was the total opposite of Jeffrey's staff, and him as well. They were rude, would not consider that the names and addresses were wrong etc. Worse, they could not or would not produce the 'application'. When I looked them up online, there were numerous complaints against this collection firm. Jeffrey did not hestitae and said he would handle it. "I will get you through this and I will get your money back" were his exact words. It took six months and a number of hearings ( the case was transferred from LA to Norwalk). At the final hearing, Jeffrey destroyed the lawyer for the firm trying to enforce this bogus debt. The Court ordered the case dismissed after Mr. Sklan proved that I was not only never served but was the wrong person based on the other side's own records, altogether. People were asking him for help on their cases as we walked out of the hearing. Apparently, this is a huge problem in Los Angeles County. Many people are affected by fraud and the law firms that promote dirty practices. This was the second case in as many months that attorney Sklan won for innocent victims of identity theft. This was a very stressful matter. Just like he said, he and his staff got me through it. My family and I recommend him without hesitation: he does not take bs from any lawyer or judge and in my case for sure, never gave up.
