Phenomenal Counselor

When I discovered that my former employer had fabricated complete lies about my conduct at work and attempted to slander my name and also succeeded in getting my rightful unemployment denied to me I was at a complete loss of what to do. I called a number of lawyers who were all dismissive and/or tol...d me I didn't have a case. I was starting to feel really disheartened and didn't think there would be a way out of this and that my former company would get away with all of these heinous untruths and lack of justice. Then - Assaf called me back after leaving a message at his firm. He was incredibly willing and open to speak to me and hear all of the particulars of the case completely. His energy was fantastic and he said we have a case! Throughout the weeks leading up to the hearing he was always available and we spoke many times and he was always willing to give me an enormous amount of his time and energy. He guided me through the entire process and helped me to see what was important and what wasn't in regards to the case. On the day of the hearing we were prepared and ready and we laid out the entire truth of the whole situation to the judge. A few days later we got the decision - we had won! I honestly don't believe I would have made it without him because he was emotionally supportive and prevented me from giving up. His fee was reasonable and his willingness to work with my financial situation was admirable. He was pretty much fantastic. He also helped me to keep all of my integrity and honesty and we won fair and square. I would want him to help me in any legal matters whatsoever. He is a real honest guy and he changed my life with his counsel.

Best Attorney for unpaid wages

I had been ripped off by my previous employers, and for a whole year, they refused to answer a demand letter sent to them by the first attorney. When I got to Mr. Assaf Lichtash, he was very welcoming and positive about getting me my unpaid wages. In a short time, he sent communication to the part...ies and aggressively pursued the case. They would use underhanded tactics like failing to reply in time, until he took them court. They finally agreed to settle out of court, and Mr. Lichtash successfully negotiated a reasonable settlement on my behalf. I am really grateful to him, his wonderful staff, and the professional manner in which he handled case. I highly recommend Mr. Assaf Lichtash to all those with unpaid wages claims. He is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Assaf Lichtash, can't Thank you enough...

I went threw an appeal with a preliminary hearing judge against the CEO and the superintendent of the company I was previously working for I know I wasn't in the wrong for applying for benefits so I figured now all I had to do was point out the obvious to the judge wich was " that I wasn't doing anyt...hing wrong and that my old boss's were full of sh!t ". Probably not the most appropriate way to express myself but after what I was put threw because this judge was blind or to lazy or maybe just didn't know how to do his job, cause he denied me on my appeal and ruled against me so then I did an appeal with the appeals board wich no party's from eighther side attend and three judges come to a decision and I also lost that cuz 2 out of the three judges ruled against me and I was taking it pretty hard with only one last and final decision that could be made by taking an appeal to the last level that is not easy and not to heard of and I most definitely couldn't have done it if I didn't decide to have Assaf file and complete my "petition Writ of Mandate" wich i basically a process that is not short but definitely do not regret thanks to Assaf and his ability to take a case like mine that had no need to be taken as far as it did had the first preliminary hearing judge made a wise and proper decision based on the facts of my case wich Assaf was able to understand after reviewing my case that he felt was worth taking it to superior court for a last and final decision that neither the E.D.D. nor I could appeal after the ruling of a superior court judge listening to why I chose the motion to petition wich Assaf was more than qualified educated and happy to explain that the laws applied by the E.D.D to me did not apply and were also applied with unesasary penalties and various inappropriate consequences. And after a long but worth it experience, Assaf told me he would do his best to present a strong case to show that my defense was not violating the law and after doing that for me on February 10, 2017, the judge reversed the E.D.D.'s decision I won the case and I will definitely be more than happy to go threw with any case if I can always have Assaf Lichtash representing me

Dealing with EDD on an overpayment issue

Finding the right advocate made all the difference. It was not easy to do. The only firms in this field were in Southern California, but I was not. Desperately, I called them hoping for a referral. I was so relieved to find that Pershing Law Firm could help me, even long distance. Assaf Lichtash wa...s a blessing. His expertise in understanding the legal system and EDD law was what I needed. He was there to guide me through the confusing legalities of the EDD system. The filing was done expeditiously and a hearing arranged quickly. When I was a nervous wreck, he was a phone call or email away to reassure and comfort me. Not only does he know the law, but he is compassionate as well. Assaf and his assistant, Jackie, were very responsive. Assaf helped prepare me for the hearing and to clarify issues during the hearing. He summarized my defense clearly and effectively. I am so thankful to Assaf and his firm for winning my appeal. Words are not enough to express my gratitude.

Very good Lawyer

I received a notice from EDD on 06/2016, alleging that I had received extra benefits for one week ON 07/2014, and not only I should pay them back the extra money that they had paid me but also I should pay 30% penalty and I was also deprived for getting benefits for five weeks if I apply for benefits.... I had received one week extra benefit, but Assaf helped me a great deal. He taught me what the procedure was and how to speak to judge and what to say. The result was fantastic not only I did not pay any money and penalty to EDD but also I was not disqualified to get benefits for five weeks.
