Biography
Chaz Rainey is the founder of RAINEY LLP, an entertainment and business law firm representing clients across film, television, digital media, and emerging technology. With nearly 20 years of legal experience, he advises companies, producers, investors, and rights holders on complex transactions and high-stakes disputes involving intellectual property, media rights, and corporate structuring.
Mr. Rainey’s practice spans both transactional and litigation matters. He regularly handles the acquisition, development, and financing of film and television projects, including rights clearances, talent agreements, and distribution arrangements.
On the dispute side, he represents clients in state and federal courts as well as in arbitration, with particular experience in entertainment-related claims and contract disputes.
In addition to his law practice, Mr. Rainey serves as an arbitrator and has been appointed to multiple arbitration panels, where he presides over commercial disputes. His work in arbitration reflects a broader focus on efficient and practical dispute resolution.
