Larry Bakman should NOT practice LAW

Beware! Larry Bakman - A Criminal Defense Nightmare! Where do I even begin with my horrendous experience with Larry Bakman? This so-called "criminal defense attorney" turned my already difficult situation into an absolute nightmare. I wouldn't wish his representation on my worst enemy. First of a...ll, let's talk about his complete lack of professionalism. From the moment I hired him, I felt like I was just another case to him. He was always late to our meetings, if he even bothered to show up at all. It was as if my time didn't matter to him. And when he did finally grace me with his presence, he seemed disinterested and barely engaged in our discussions. It was clear he had no passion for his work or any genuine concern for my well-being. Larry Bakman's legal knowledge is laughable at best. I could have done a better job representing myself. He constantly stumbled over his words, mixed up important details, and failed to grasp even the most basic concepts of criminal law. I found myself correcting him on numerous occasions, which left me wondering if I had hired the wrong person altogether. But the worst part of my experience with Bakman was his lack of communication. It was like pulling teeth trying to get a response from him. He rarely returned my calls or emails, and when he did, his responses were vague and unhelpful. It felt like he was purposely avoiding me and my case, leaving me in the dark and filled with anxiety. To add insult to injury, his billing practices were outrageous. Not only did he charge exorbitant fees upfront, but he also nickel-and-dimed me for every little thing along the way. It seemed like every time I turned around, there was another unexpected charge on my bill. And when I questioned these charges, Bakman brushed me off with flimsy explanations that made no sense. In the end, I was left with a subpar defense and a bitter taste in my mouth. Larry Bakman is the epitome of an incompetent attorney. His lack of professionalism, legal knowledge, communication skills, and fair billing practices make him an absolute nightmare to work with. Save yourself the headache and steer clear of Larry Bakman. There are plenty of other competent and dedicated criminal defense attorneys out there who will actually fight for your rights and give your case the attention it deserves. Trust me, Bakman is not one of them.

Larry Bakman

Larry Bakman was a fair attorney. He didn't charge more than he said he would and he even made deals for me when he could. What I liked about him was he was a tough cross examiner. He doesn't take any crap from anyone. Not from his clients and not from the courts. He would never advise someone to kee...p going in a case if he thought they could not win just to get money. He doesn't need the money that bad and he does quite well for himself. I found he stayed level headed even when I was loosing it. He kept himself in check and protects his clients by keeping them in check. He is professional and knowledgeable about the due processes of law which includes or excludes certain evidence; thereby he does not waste time drawing the case out. He also helped encourage me to be strong while I was in a very dark place. Thank you Larry!

Federal USFWS Case

In January 2004 I was charged by the USFWS for 34 counts of illegal wildlife smuggling from Mexico and commercialization of protected wildlife. The USFWS wanted $50,000 and 7 years of imprisonment. They also told me I didn't not need any legal representation and everything would be fine. The deal t...he government offered me was not fine! Through a mutual friend Mr. Bakman was recommended to me. I investigated Bakman's past federal cases and found he had a very high success rate. I contacted Mr. Bakman and hired him to represent me. Due to the length of time and caliber of this case I felt Mr. Bakman charged me far less than what any other attorney would have. Right away Mr. Bakman went into action and I never had to talk to the USFWS again. Bakman fought for me tooth and nail. One by one Mr. Bakman had charge after charge thrown out. With 34 charges this did not happen over night. This was a very stressful time for me and Mr. Bakman kept me up to date with the process. He did not tell me what I wanted to hear. He told me what was happening. Even with the worst news he gave me hope. After some time there were only two charges left. I was exhausted and wanted to be done with it. Bakman informed me with a little more time the last two charges could possibly be dropped. I was ready for a plea and worn out. I think The USFWS was tired of Mr. Bakman more than I was of USFWS. In cases like this the government wares out the defendant. It was the other way around. In the end I was charged $5000 and one years probation. Without Bakmans help I would have done time. I have since then recommended Mr. Bakman to more than a few people who contacted me with cases similar to mine. I know they were happy with how they were treated by Mr. Bakman and the outcome. I would hire him without a second thought if so needed.
