Outstanding Attorney
I retained Larry Bakman to represent me in a restraining order case against my ex-husband. Standing up to my abuser was something I was very afraid to do. Once I met Larry in person, I knew right away he was the attorney for me. I was searching for a lawyer that I trusted and also someone that I felt would protect me against the lies and threats of abuse. I met and interviewed with several lawyers who reviewed my case and their professional opinion was that I had no chance of getting a restraining order against my abuser. Each lawyer indicated that there was no physical abuse therefore the verbal abuse, harassment and stalking that I was being exposed to was not sufficient to warrant a restraining order. I showed Larry the same information and he told me the exact opposite. I was living in fear and Larry told me that the law protects people like me. I do not need to have a bruise on my face to be protected from my abuser. During the process of my case, Larry helped me find the strength to stand up for myself and gave me a voice. Larry vigorously presented my case and went above and beyond as my advocate. My case took three days and in those stressful days, I never had to once worry about Larry showing up late because he was there. Larry was well organized and had a strategy from day one. There were never any surprises because he was always multiple steps ahead. During testimony of some very difficult moments, he gave me courage to keep my head up. Larry knew the facts to my case backwards and forwards. During testimony, Larry was aggressive in his questioning to get to the truth and did not need to refer to notes. Larry’s knowledge of the law was evident by his strong presentation of my case. I will always owe Larry Bakman my life and safety. If you are looking for an attorney who will fight for you then Larry Bakman is the person you want on your side.

When you need a tough, knowledgeable lawyer, Larry Bakman is the man!
When a family member was wrongfully convicted of a serious crime, it was one of the most devastating experience of our lives. Not trusting the original lawyer who bungled the case, we looked for someone to properly handle sentencing. Larry Bakman came highly recommend by many top lawyers. The recommendation was a life saver. Truly Mr. Bakman far exceeded our expectations. He was compassionate and caring, yet a barracuda in court. He is extremely knowledgeable and respected within the court community. We got the best outcome, given the situation, and without a doubt I believe the original verdict would have been far different if we had hired him in the first place. If you have a serious situation, don't mess around. Go with the best. Larry Bakman is the best.

Trouble with the Law? Call Larry!!
Larry Bakman was refereed to me by another lawyer. This I thought right away was a good sign as it turned out I was right. Larry reviewed my case and explained all possible outcomes. He was knowledgeable and Honest. He brought In my opinion a genuine concern for me. Working tirelessly to expose and punch holes in the prosecution's case, but where Larry excels the most is in the court room. He's like a surgeon disecting the evidence , grilling witnesses and eventually getting my case dismissed.

represented me the defendent
Larry defended me with the utmost professionalism in LA Superior Court in 2013. He was aggressive, knowledgeable and always thought outside the box to exonerate me. Which he did against all odds. The Judge in the case came up to me after the trial was completed and told me Larry was one of the best he has had in his courtroom defending a client. The prosecuting attorney even hired him to give a seminar to his associates on criminal law. I was impressed because of all I wrote and more importantly because he won my acquittal.

Federal USFWS Case
In January 2004 I was charged by the USFWS for 34 counts of illegal wildlife smuggling from Mexico and commercialization of protected wildlife. The USFWS wanted $50,000 and 7 years of imprisonment. They also told me I didn't not need any legal representation and everything would be fine. The deal the government offered me was not fine! Through a mutual friend Mr. Bakman was recommended to me. I investigated Bakman's past federal cases and found he had a very high success rate. I contacted Mr. Bakman and hired him to represent me. Due to the length of time and caliber of this case I felt Mr. Bakman charged me far less than what any other attorney would have. Right away Mr. Bakman went into action and I never had to talk to the USFWS again. Bakman fought for me tooth and nail. One by one Mr. Bakman had charge after charge thrown out. With 34 charges this did not happen over night. This was a very stressful time for me and Mr. Bakman kept me up to date with the process. He did not tell me what I wanted to hear. He told me what was happening. Even with the worst news he gave me hope. After some time there were only two charges left. I was exhausted and wanted to be done with it. Bakman informed me with a little more time the last two charges could possibly be dropped. I was ready for a plea and worn out. I think The USFWS was tired of Mr. Bakman more than I was of USFWS. In cases like this the government wares out the defendant. It was the other way around. In the end I was charged $5000 and one years probation. Without Bakmans help I would have done time. I have since then recommended Mr. Bakman to more than a few people who contacted me with cases similar to mine. I know they were happy with how they were treated by Mr. Bakman and the outcome. I would hire him without a second thought if so needed.

Great Representation!
Attorney Bakman represented my son when he got in to trouble. He was very compassionate about his case and helped to turn his life around. He did a great job representing my son, and still calls to check up on how he is doing. I would strongly recommend him for your case.

Larry Bakman
Larry Bakman was a fair attorney. He didn't charge more than he said he would and he even made deals for me when he could. What I liked about him was he was a tough cross examiner. He doesn't take any crap from anyone. Not from his clients and not from the courts. He would never advise someone to keep going in a case if he thought they could not win just to get money. He doesn't need the money that bad and he does quite well for himself. I found he stayed level headed even when I was loosing it. He kept himself in check and protects his clients by keeping them in check. He is professional and knowledgeable about the due processes of law which includes or excludes certain evidence; thereby he does not waste time drawing the case out. He also helped encourage me to be strong while I was in a very dark place. Thank you Larry!

Wants Money
Charged 100k to take my case to trial. He put minimal work into preparation. He didn't use his legal assistant because I hadn't paid enough money. Advised me to fight a federal case. He seems sharp, but most of his actions in hind site are to get as much money as possible from his clients. In addition, he isn't compassionate.

Larry Bakman should NOT practice LAW
Beware! Larry Bakman - A Criminal Defense Nightmare! Where do I even begin with my horrendous experience with Larry Bakman? This so-called "criminal defense attorney" turned my already difficult situation into an absolute nightmare. I wouldn't wish his representation on my worst enemy. First of all, let's talk about his complete lack of professionalism. From the moment I hired him, I felt like I was just another case to him. He was always late to our meetings, if he even bothered to show up at all. It was as if my time didn't matter to him. And when he did finally grace me with his presence, he seemed disinterested and barely engaged in our discussions. It was clear he had no passion for his work or any genuine concern for my well-being. Larry Bakman's legal knowledge is laughable at best. I could have done a better job representing myself. He constantly stumbled over his words, mixed up important details, and failed to grasp even the most basic concepts of criminal law. I found myself correcting him on numerous occasions, which left me wondering if I had hired the wrong person altogether. But the worst part of my experience with Bakman was his lack of communication. It was like pulling teeth trying to get a response from him. He rarely returned my calls or emails, and when he did, his responses were vague and unhelpful. It felt like he was purposely avoiding me and my case, leaving me in the dark and filled with anxiety. To add insult to injury, his billing practices were outrageous. Not only did he charge exorbitant fees upfront, but he also nickel-and-dimed me for every little thing along the way. It seemed like every time I turned around, there was another unexpected charge on my bill. And when I questioned these charges, Bakman brushed me off with flimsy explanations that made no sense. In the end, I was left with a subpar defense and a bitter taste in my mouth. Larry Bakman is the epitome of an incompetent attorney. His lack of professionalism, legal knowledge, communication skills, and fair billing practices make him an absolute nightmare to work with. Save yourself the headache and steer clear of Larry Bakman. There are plenty of other competent and dedicated criminal defense attorneys out there who will actually fight for your rights and give your case the attention it deserves. Trust me, Bakman is not one of them.

Larry represented me and was extremely deceitful. He had me sign a retainer agreement then forced me to pay him more saying that there was a mistake that he did not understand the magnitude of the case although by law the retainer agreement was already signed stating he was retained for the case he refused to show up until I paid him more. Larry is a knowledgable lawyer however he uses his knowledge against his clients rather than for. He represented my boyfriend before and had informed me that we needed to sign a conflict of interest so we did however he shows up to court and conflicts out claiming we never filled it out...he was so bad I didn't even care I would rather never see this man another day in my life. Never hire him regardless of his skill unless you're prepared to have your case used against you to pay him more and for him to throw it if he's not satisfied.
