Ms. Z was charged back in 2009 with PC 487 Forgery and PC 459 Burglary. Her boyfriend at the time handed her a check and said it was his paycheck, but because he did not have an account, he needed her ... to cash it for him. So being young an naive, she did just that. However, what Ms. Z did now know was the the check was forged. She was contacted by a police detective but was never arrested. As a result there was a court filing made, but there was no arrest. A warrant was issued by the court, but Ms. Z was once again never notified. After filing a motion detailing how Ms. Z's Right to a Speedy Trial was violated, the charges against her were finally dropped today. Ms. Z is now a free women.

During the early morning hours of September 26, 2012, Ms. L was in the Ralphs Parking Lot in her car. She had not turned on her car, nor did she have any intention of driving. While seated in her car, ... a man pulled up behind her and said to her, "You're not going anywhere!" Scared, Ms. L turned on her car and proceeded to drive away. As she drove off, the man pursued her, causing Ms. L to drive erratically. As a result Ms. L was pulled over and arrested and charged for two counts of Driving Under the Influence. Ms. L was then went to the court with her public defender where she was offered 30 days of county jail. After the initial court date, Ms. L contacted me and hired me to be her attorney. After going through all the details of her case with the City Prosecutor, Ms. L's case was dropped from a DUI to a Wet Reckless and no jail time.

Ms. L worked for an individual for approximately 3 years. During the time she worked there, the economy began to take a dive and so did the company Ms. L worked for. However, he said that it was his assist that was the one forging checks and stealing the money. After the investigation began, I had contacted the Detective on the case and worked out a surrender for my client, so that she would not be arrested in her home in front of her children. On her surrender date, myself along with a bail agent went and bailed Ms. L out. The case was filed and set for May 2012. After a thorough investigation on this case and requesting documents that would exonerate my client, the District Attorney dismissed the case today. Ms. N was then placed on private person arrest and then taken to the police station. On the way to the police station, the officer stated that Ms. N admitted to taking the merchandise, however, Ms. N stated there was no such thing. After directing the DA's attention to the fact that the statement was not recorded, I was able to convince the DA to reduce the almost $300 in theft to an infraction for Petty Theft.

Mr. B went to a concert in the Redlands area. After the party, Mr. B went to a hotel party with his friends. After a few ours of partying the police showed up however, Mr. B was not in a state of mind ... where he knew what he was doing. The police took him in for Obstructing a Police Officer and when they searched him, the also found Ecstasy pills on Mr. B. After a few negotiations with the DA, I was able to convince the DA to dismiss the Obstructing of Justice Count as well as the Possession of Ecstasy count because of my client's lack of knowledge of having the pill. Mr. B plead to an Infraction for Disturbing the peace and was given no probation and no jail time, just a fine of $100 plus Penalties.
