Mr. H, was a thriving high school student at the time he hired me for his case. He had been accepted to go to school in Southern California at one of the top schools. Unfortunately, he was at the wrong ... place and the wrong time. He was arrested for Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools and Theft. After approximately 8 months of working on his case, I was able to have his case dismissed today. Mr. H can now have a record with no convictions and pursue his dreams without having to worry about this case.

Mr. S. was originally charged with 7 counts of vehicle theft and burglary. On his first day of court, his public defender plead him out to 180 days of jail on all 7 counts after only speaking with him ... for 20 minutes regarding his case. Not knowing any better, Mr. S agreed to the plea guilty. However, what that did is placed him on probation. What his public defender failed to do was inform him that if he violated probation he was looking at 7 years in State Prison. His Public Defender also didn't ask to see why Mr. S did what he did. Mr. S did what he did because he was high on drugs attempting to numb himself from his best-friends funeral earlier in the day. Therefore, neither the judge nor the DA were able to get to the root of the problem. About a month later, Mr. S was caught using a fake ID as well as having 5 pills of ecstasy on him. As a result of his new arrest, he violated his probation as was facing 7 years in State Prison as a result. After only serving 29 days in jail awaiting his probation violation hearing, I was able to go into detail regarding Mr. S's drug use and how incarceration would not be effective but a treatment program would. The Judge agreed and sentenced Mr. S to no more jail time but rather 180 days of out patient drug rehab. Mr. S's Mom told me she has held her Thanksgiving Turkey until her son comes home and said that tonight, they will be having Thanksgiving.

Carlos V. Misdemeanor Theft – Case Dismissed 11-19-12

Mr. V was on his way to Columbia for vacation. While in line to go through security, he picked up an iPhone that was lying by the security desk. The iPhone ended up belonging to a TSA security guard. T ... SA was able to track down Mr. V through video surveilance and apprehend Mr. V. Mr. V told the Airport Police that he did not intent to steal the iPhone and that he was looking for rightful owner. The arrest took place in March of 2012 and the and filed in April of 2012. After negotiating with the prosecutor on the case, I was able to secure a dismissal of the theft charge and work out a deal for a trespassing charge.

Ms. M was charged with 3 counts of practicing dentistry without a license, once count of possession of Lidocaine and two counts of possession of a hypodermic needle or syringe. After a long investigati ... on from the State of California Dental Board against her uncle, the Dental Board brought the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. Ms. M was facing 3 years consecutive in the California Jail, however after long negotiations with 3 different District Attorneys, I was able to (1) have her plea to 2 counts of possession of a hypodermic syringe, 30 days of Electronic Monitoring and 36 months of Summary Probation. Ms. M was also allowed to continue her business.

Ms. A was on her way home with her brother after a long day of work. Her Brother was pulled over and detained for driving without a license. As a search incident to the arrest of her brother, the Sheri ... ff's deputies searched the car and also illegally searched Ms. A's purse where they found mushrooms. After describing the incident to the DA and explaining that I would be filing a motion to suppress evidence in the case. But I gave them an alternative to my motion, I said that my client would not plea guilty per PC1000 and have the charges dismissed after 18 months. I was able to negotiate a pre-plea diversion, where my client would not have to plea guilty, complete 26 NA classes and receive a dismissal. The client is now without any criminal record indicating she plead guilty to anything.

Mr. R was charged with 87 counts of Vandalism. 25 Felony Counts and 62 Misdemeanor Counts. Allegedly Mr. R and his friend had spent the night drinking and made a poor decision to go for a drive and sho ... ot out car windows with a BB Gun. Mr. R, who is in the U.S. Army, was originally offered a State Prison term. After months of negotiations with the District Attorney, I was able to have 86 of the 87 counts dismissed. Mr. R. plead to only one count of Felony Vandalism and was sentenced to 180 days of Work Release. He served no jail time except for the first night he was arrested. After he completes one year of probation, Mr. R can have the conviction reduced from a Felony to a Misdemeanor.

Mr. V was caught for a second time within the span of one year shoplifting from a Home Depot. However, the facts of this case were not a typical shoplifting case. Mr. V was making separate purchases. A ... fter he made his first purchase, he went to pick up water outside of Home Depot for purchase. As he walked out to pick up the merchandise, the security guard arrested him for Petty Theft. He was turned over to the local police and booked. After long negotiations with the District Attorney on the case, Mr. V's case was dismissed on August 29, 2012 after he was arrested on May 26, 2012.
