Great attorney! I hired Shawn on the spot for my theft case that was in warrant status a couple months ago. Going into the office for my first consultation, I didn't know what to expect. During the meeting I was attended by Mr. Matian himself and assisted by his wonderful staff. I was so scarred with my case knowing I'm undocumented and had a first time DUI that I never went to court for. My son was facing vandalism charges in Downtown Los Angeles. He was charged with graffitiing 3 separate buildings in Los Angeles, he had 3 felony charges and bail was so high. I was pulled over for speeding one night and the officer ran my name and told me I had a warrant for my arrest for domestic violence!! I told the cop it was not true, I have never been married or ever had any incident but he didn't believe me and arrested me on the stop!! And the jerk towed my car! ... m recently moved to California and have no family here so I called my roommate from jail in west hollywood. He told me he used this attorney, Shawn Matian, for a DUI case he had and that I should call him. I told my roommate to call him asap!! This was around 9pm. At around 11:30pm the jailer told me my lawyer was here and he wanted to talk to me, I was shocked. Not only did Shawn Matian show up, I hadn't even paid him yet!!! He told me his staff called him and he was close to the area. I explain the situation to him! He then went into action right in front of me! He demanded the Sgt be come talk to him and forced them to pull a description of the actual suspected who warranted. The results came back and the description was very close to me: Same exact name, DOB, height and very close weight, it was crazy! But, Shawn noticed it also said the suspect had tattoos in certain areas and a birthmark on his back. Shawn told me to take my shirt off, I have no tattoos and no birthmarks. Shawn immediately told the SGT. I was a grad student and this was violation of my rights and if I wasn't released he would sue. He was railing the COPS, and he kept finding differences, like for example: the crime occurred in 2002 in Burbank, I was living in Florida in 2002 and had never been to California. By 12:30am I was released!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it!!! The attorney even stayed until I got processed out!! This guy loved every second of giving it to those COPS and I loved watching it!! Every single person who was in my holding cell was asking for his card!! He is the best!!
