Matthew was born and raised in Northern Nevada. His practice primarily focuses on business litigation and appeals. Since relocating from Southern California to Reno, Matthew has appeared in mediations, arbitrations, fact findings, bench trials, and jury trials on behalf of his clients, including a recent $7.7 million dollar employment award, which Matthew co-managed from beginning to end. With seven years of experience, Matthew has not only learned the importance of aggressive litigation strategy, but also the importance of finding common ground and settling cases when that is the best option for the client.
Matthew's litigation experience began in law school when he was selected for two prestigious federal clerkships at the United States Attorney's Office in California and Nevada, including service in the Special Prosecution's unit for the Central District of California. After completing law school, Matthew was selected to clerk for former Chief Justice James W. Hardesty at the Nevada Supreme Court. There, Matthew was responsible for briefing the Justices on sophisticated legal issues involving land use regulation, commercial contract disputes, state purchasing contracts, water law, administrative law, public utility regulation, and medical malpractice. Several cases reached into the millions of dollars, including a public utility regulation appeal with over $900 million at stake. After completing his clerkship, Matthew joined a reputable Southern California law firm defending several fortune 500 companies in various business disputes.
When Matthew decided to relocate to his home town of Reno, he joined his Father to form The Digesti Law Firm LTD. Since joining the firm, Matthew has focused almost exclusively on litigation, including experience in the following areas.
