Biography
The entirety of Samantha's legal practice has been in family law. Samantha has represented Nevada clients in some of the most complex divorce and custody litigation. Whether your case goes to trial for 18 days or you are able to settle without setting foot in the courtroom, Samantha' boutique law practice gives all of her cases careful consideration and attention to ensure a positive outcome for her clients.
Samantha is a native of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin and moved to Round Mountain, Nevada during high school where she graduated as the valedictorian of her class. Samantha attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) as a Millennium Scholar graduating cum laude with a B.A. in political science. During her undergraduate career Samantha served as the Chief Justice and Justice of CSUN UNLV Student Government and actively participated in Alpha Gamma Delta. After college, Ms. Mentzel earned her J.D. at William S. Boyd School of Law. She received an academic scholarship to William S. Boyd School of Law and actively participated in the Nevada Justice Association, Phi Alpha Delta (law honorary), Organizations of Women Law Students, and Second Amendment Society.
Samantha worked throughout college and law school in Las Vegas, while attending classes full time including positions with the Clark County Probate Commissioner and the Hon. Judge Bill Henderson.
Prior to starting her own firm, Samantha was a partner at a firm, her previous partner now a Family Court Judge with the Eighth Judicial District Court. Samantha gained her extensive knowledge through her years of practice, working for the most esteemed family law firms in Las Vegas, handling cases involving difficult and complex marital litigation. Samantha is a licensed member of the State Bar of Nevada and focuses her practice exclusively on family law.
Samantha is married with two daughters and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named "Chuck." In her free time, Samantha enjoys cooking, traveling, and cheering on the UNLV Rebels, Green Bay Packers, and Las Vegas Raiders (you have to root for the home team).

As I have received zero complaints about my billing or my paralegals billing, nor have I received any complaints regarding handling of any cases, and this is an anonymous review, I cannot address your concerns directly. With that being said, as always, you are welcome to bring any concerns directly to me and I am happy to rectify any issues within my control. If you were unable to contact me specifically last week, as you were aware, I was spending a much needed week with my small children while they were out of school for spring break and informed you I would be back to the office on April 2, 2024. Again, I always keep an open door of communication with my Clients - I welcome you to please provide me more information on the alleged subpar service received as I always strive to provide a good environment for my Clients during a very hard season of life - divorce.
