Fails to disclose conflict of interest

This attorney gave me a consultation and after knowing who my employer was which she had ties with she should have told me there was a conflict of interest. Instead she took the consultation money and mislead me about certain requests I wanted from my employer because of her ties with my employer. Sh...e's unethical and fails to disclose any conflict of interest and could possibly ruin innocent people's cases. She is only interested in helping employers not employees.

Horrible Experience

We hired Ms. Holman to represent our son with an employment-related case. She was pleasant at first, almost too pleasant. She called my husband back a few times to follow up and see if we were interested in meeting with her to discuss things further. This should have been the first red flag. Any atto...rney with time to follow up with prospective clients must not have a full caseload, and there is a reason for that. We read the reviews here on Yelp and thought we'd give her a chance anyway...big mistake. Once she was paid in full for her services we never heard another thing from Ms. Holman. She also allowed our son's case to expire with the EEOC 90-day cutoff, which ruined his chances for recourse through the legal system against his previous employer. In addition, she never assisted our son with receiving the unemployment funds she claimed she could get for him. She is filled with promises and pumps herself up to be this amazing attorney, but she fails to meet the high level of expertise/standards she claims she has. We filed a grievance against her with the State Bar of Nevada, to which they sent her a letter requesting her response. In addition, we sent her a demand letter (via certified mail and email) for payment in full. As of today, she has returned all of our original funds. I would never recommend her to anyone for representation. Unless you like headaches and irritation, it is our opinion that it would be highly beneficial to avoid any of the so-called services she offers.

I hired Kristina. Wasted time.

I hired Attorney Kristina Holmes for my employment law case. Kristina gave me false hope just to get me to hire her. She said she will get me back my job with all the back pay, which was around $100,000. My case was time sensitive as it had a 90 day EEOC timeframe to file a lawsuit, per the EEOC r...ight to sue letter. After I hired Kristina, she wrote one letter to the employer, then urged me to take a $2000 settlement in lie of a lawsuit. Naturally, I declined because the job was a $100,000. a year job. She also allowed my right to sue letter expire so I could not file the lawsuit. This attorney Kristina Holmes ruined my case.

Hard-Working, Dedicated Attorney Who Actually Listened to My Concerns and Resolved My Issued with Former Employer

I hired Ms. Holman to handle settlement negotiations for a discrimination/retaliation matter against my former employer, who even when shown several different forms of actual evidence to prove my claims, refused to accept responsibility or culpability. Because my former employer is a national firm w...ith many resources, they insisted that I settle my claims with them or take them to court. Knowing that most people don't have the financial resources to out lawyer or out finance them, it was clear that they had mastered the art of strong-arming abused and bullied employees into settling for a token amount in order to get them off the hook. Despite my claim of discrimination and retaliation, or the sheer number of prior employees who suffered the same fate, the unfair and damaging treatment of all employees is of absolutely no concern to this firm, and they refuse to fairly investigate the facts. Therefore, administrators or managers are not held accountable for their actions, and they will stop at nothing in order to cover up their behavior (including false accusations with no supporting documentation or modifying/altering employee records). After a two year battle, I chose to move on and asked Ms. Holman to work with my former employer to finalize the settlement. I gave her a very short window of time to try to negotiate further with a company whose practice was to throw out a very small number, draft an agreement that protects them only, and then announce that there would be no further negotiations. Another words, take it and like it! Ms. Holman was able to familiarize herself with my case overnight, even though it was somewhat complicated, place a call to my former employer and not only convince them to modify the settlement agreement to protect my interests, but increase my settlement amount. What I appreciated about this attorney that completely impressed me and took some of the pain and frustration away, was that she actually listened to me and my view of the facts of the case. She did not interrupt me with can'ts and costs, or tell me why my claims would fail. She did not treat me as the little guy that she was too important to represent, or use her listening filters to cut me off after a few minutes if she felt my case wasn't lucrative enough for her high standards. I have worked in the legal field for 25 years, but am not familiar with employment law, and have never had a case of my own that required attorney representation. The biggest frustration I have had is that most employment lawyers represent the employers, most don't care about anything but the money, and nearly all don't even bother returning your call. There are no employee advocates or resources preventing big companies or firms from subjecting employees to any type of harassment or unfair labor practice they choose, because they know they won't be held accountable. It is a travesty and huge disservice to the workforce throughout the country. In my view, in addition to the desire to make a lot of money, an attorney should have the desire to help the common man who does not have the knowledge or resources to help himself, and looks to that attorney for advice or protection under the law. The only shining light I found throughout this whole ordeal was Ms. Holman, because she had more than a law degree, listened and understood what was important to me. She had enough empathy and compassion to put herself in my place, and a desire to offer whatever help she could. Most importantly, and with all of that in mind, she found a way to make me feel like I lost the battle, but won the war.
