Liane K. Wakayama

Liane was recommended to me by an attorney who is a well known attorney in Las Vegas. As a result, Liane has been representing me for the past 2 years on a highly publicized and very complicated case. Liane is sharp, to the point, transparent, and very efficient. She quickly understood the is...sues and suggested specific point of attack which proved to be the right decisions over and over again. I can not thank Liane enough for being my attorney and becoming a friend. Due to my work in finance, I am very familiar with attorney/client relationships as I interact with different attorneys on a daily basis. Besides Liane's competency and work ethic, she is also very compassionate. I also noticed that Liane received a negative remark by a former client. Liane charged me $400 for a consultation (that her website says are free) She said she would take her pay at the end from my trusts but then demanded a $3500 retainer on top of the $400 consultation, again, which is advertised as free. She delegated me right away to a brand new associate who i the...n had to go through to get answers & never had the benefit of anyone explaining things to me properly along with consequences of the things they wanted me to do. For example Liane insinuated it was beneficial to me to both, approve of an accounting for 2022 & to give indemnity to the trustee for 2022 through present saying but it does not mean you are not going to retain your right to sue her for anything that happened before that. Well, another lawyer i spoke with told me that since i was only a beneficiary in 2022 that she had no duty to me before that so to give her indemnity for 2022 &2023 would be releasing her forever. Regarding the accounting she wanted me to approve along with giving her indemnity, (in exchange for $50,000) Liane knew that there were over $ 17 million in the prior 10 years accountings that were unaccounted for, so without looking, or maybe without caring, she wanted me to approve an accounting for 2022 which had $48 in investment fees in one trust and $48,000 in another for only 10 months, The hearing we waited for so long, Liane failed to appear. She did not tell me herself, keeping communication with me as little as possible & the new attorney instead came & failed to reply to any, let alone all of the other lawyers lies. Despite i was left 50% of my mothers personal property, Liane could not get me a single thing other than 50 photos. How is it possible i only got 50 photos, & she never once asked for my share of my moms things, i have nothing of hers to keep..literally nothing of my 50%. Liane never even asked for it for me no matter how many times i brought it up. It was really weird when at a hearing recently, she was talking to a Judge about reviews i left her which were all perfectly legal & non tortious. At a hearing..It was so bizzare. There is not enough room for all of it so i will finish by stating the staff was nice & professional but i would not reccomend Liane.
