Sean Claggett is the founder and lead trial lawyer at Claggett & Sykes Law Firm. Since opening its doors in 2005, Sean has grown the firm into a nationally recognized trial practice with offices in Nevada, Connecticut, and New York. Sean and his team have secured some of the most influential verdicts in the country, with Courtroom View Network repeatedly recognizing their trial results. Two of his verdicts were named among the top four most influential in the United States. He went on to achieve landmark outcomes, including a $38.75 million verdict in 2021 for the family of a young girl killed in a crosswalk, a $485 million verdict in 2023 for a child sexually abused in foster care, and a $ million verdict in 2025 in Denver, the largest verdict ever for a workers’ compensation bad faith case. In September 2025, his team obtained a $951 million judgment in a birth defect case in Utah, one of the largest verdicts of its kind, and most recently a Utah state court jury delivered a record $81 million verdict for the family and friends of child struck and killed by a truck in a crosswalk. Alongside these record-setting results, Sean has consistently delivered multi-million-dollar verdicts across medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death cases, solidifying his reputation as one of the nation’s premier trial lawyers.
