Attorney Marr Negligence
On Nov 4, 2021, attorney Patricia Marr was scheduled to represent me in family court. As we entered the hearing, the judge made her opening statement and continued the hearing virtually. The judge asked attorney Marr if she read the CPS report, and the attorney replied no because she didn’t receive i...
Contrary to this former client's assertion, I appeared for him via BlueJeans, the internet application used by Nevada courts subsequent to the pandemic. I became disconnected from the hearing but ultimately was able to reconnect and did, in fact, appear on his behalf. When I reconnected the client was gone but the hearing proceeded. Because the client had limited resources I was only retained for one (1) hearing, which I prepared for and appeared for. As I was only retained for a very limited appearance, the Court did not provide me with the CPS records prior to the hearing. Nonetheless, my receipt of the CPS records was not necessary for the hearing - again, contrary to what the former client believes. In any event, the Court made a ruling and opposing counsel was ordered to prepare the order and I was ordered by the Court to sign off on the order. The former client would often call our office and scream at staff, even prior to this hearing and then apologize afterward. In short, everything that needed to be addressed at the time of the hearing was addressed and the Court made a decision, which former client was unsatisfied with. On that basis I agreed to file a motion for the Court to reconsider its decision and drafted the motion. Notably, courts sometimes aren't correct and by way of example, that is why we have appellate courts. Former client wanted work (a motion because he did not agree with the Court's ruling) that he did not want to pay for. Further, the Court ordered that I sign off on the proposed Order from the hearing. Apparently, former client wanted me to disregard a court order as well and not sign the order, even though ordered to do so by the Court. I would not accept to represent this former client again.

Best Value in Vegas.
Faced with the daunting task of trying to defend myself in family court, Patricia took my case at a fair price and kept me informed as needed. After suffering a panic attack at my first hearing, Patricia arranged so I would not have to return to court until absolutely necessary. When that time arrive...
