Alisha Maestas has been practicing law for over 15 years and has exclusive experience as a former top prosecutor. Before becoming a criminal defense lawyer, Alisha Maestas was a Bernalillo County Deputy District Attorney and was responsible for all types of criminal offenses. Much of her time was spent prosecuting major crimes where she handled murder cases and violent crimes and domestic violence cases as well as complex drug trafficking cases. She was also a supervising attorney at the District Attorney's Office. Ms. Maestas has argued dozens of motions to dismiss and has extensive trial experience. Ms. Maestas provides effective and aggressive representation.

WORST lawyer I’ve ever crossed paths with
She was unprofessional, had an attitude the whole time while working with her and liked to repeat herself in different ways like as if you didn’t understand her the first time. She also will hang up on you when she gets upset. Worst representation ever!

I would NOT recommend Ms Maestas
I was a client of Alisha Maestas. I hired her to represent me in a petty misdemeanor battery case. Once I paid her, I found her to be unresponsive and uncommunicative. Replied last January 27, 2016I am sorry that this client was unhappy with our services. This client's criminal charge was dismissed because of our representation, skill and expertise. Our firm is dedicated to fighting for you and getting you the best possible result. Due to our experience and expertise, we were able to negotiate to get the criminal charge against this client dismissed. Furthermore, the charge was dismissed before a second court hearing was held, saving this client time and resources. Our office negotiated to get the client's property, a dog leash, returned to the client even after the case was closed. Wonderful attorney
Alisha used to be an attorney in the albuquerque district attorneys office so she has alot of insight into the inner workings of that office. She did a great job for me always prompt with communication and keeping me abreast with the progress of my case.
