Fortner is a complete moron.

Fortner represented my ex-wife in a child custody case. He was so oblivious to the specifics of the law that he did not know that he could have filed in Prescott instead of Phoenix. This cost his clients thousands of dollars in time/expense related to several commutes to/from Phx-Prescott. He also... lied several times during our case; and effectively botched virtually every aspect of representing my ex. This made the case a complete cake walk for my attorney, who effectively mopped this floor with this aged fool's toupee.

As your ex-wife, you and your children were residents of Maricopa County venue was proper in Maricopa County. Filing in Yavapai County would have clearly been improper and would have resulted in unjustifiable delay and expense in a case where all the parties and most of the witnesses lived in Maricopa. A friend of your ex-wife's family provided transportation back and forth to Phoenix from Prescott and I did not charge for travel time. I am not perfect but I have never lied to a court and cannot remember the last time I lied to anyone and never to a client or an opposing party. I believe you are a good person from a good family and a great dad. What I tried to point out to the judge was that you were understandably upset at the breakup of your marriage and were using your superior economic position to punish your ex for leaving the marriage and were engaging, perhaps without being aware of it , in alienating your children from their mother. I have been around long enough to understand that no one outside of a marriage really knows what goes on in a marriage. It has been years since I represented your ex and I do not know what is going on now but when I last represented her she had custody of your children and your had liberal visitation. I do wish you well.

I felt like he cared about my family!

Mr. Fortner was very professional and aggressive when it came to my child custody and property issues during my divorce. It can be very scary being faced with loosing your children and your home. He kept me focused on the legal issues and I could not have asked for a better result than what he was a...ble to do for me. I would reccomend Fortner Law Firm to anyone having a family law dispute.

What a great attorney

I have retained Mr. Fortner on several occasions. He is attentive and cared about my cases. I have yet to loose a case when he is representing me. I tried another attorney and lost a case that I know I should have won. He is a true professional and I will hire him in the future. He treats me with hon...esty. If I feel I have a good case and he does not he will let me know. He will not just take your money and loose the case like some attorneys. I will recommend him to anyone that askes if I know a good lawyer.

Mr. Fortner cares for his clients!

Mr. Fortner really made me feel that he cared about my family law case. During divorce and custody proceedings, emotions can cloud what is best for my family. Mr. Fortner helped to keep me on track and fought hard to get me the best results for my family. He was always happy to take my phone calls... and his staff was friendly and patient.
