About Natalie

Learn Natalie’s areas of practice.

Natalie is an Arizona native who has dedicated her practice to achieving positive outcomes for families and individuals in domestic relations and juvenile matters since 2012. Natalie handles all aspects of divorce and paternity matters, and colleagues regularly defer to her knowledge regarding nuanced child support issues and cases with Department of Child Safety (DCS) involvement. Natalie also brings private termination of parental rights and third-party / grandparents’ rights actions on behalf of clients in her current practice.

Natalie’s roots in family law started during her time as a student attorney with the Child and Family Law Clinic at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. After licensure, Natalie initially represented children in child dependency, permanent guardianship, and adoption cases. She then served as an Assistant Attorney General (AAG) for the State of Arizona litigating juvenile and domestic relations matters for six and a half years.

As an AAG, Natalie first worked in the Protective Services Section, managing a high-volume trial caseload in child dependency and termination of parental rights actions. She then transitioned to the Child Support Services Section where she represented the State in Title IV-D paternity, establishment, modification, and enforcement of child support actions, including interstate matters. Natalie went into private family law practice in January 2020, and she has been growing that practice ever since then.

With a background in cases involving trauma, interfamily conflict, and disruption of the parent-child relationship, Natalie has cultivated a practice that balances creative problem solving with compassion and diligence. Natalie partners with her clients throughout the legal process, and strives to make them feel heard and respected during some of the most challenging times in their lives. She believes in the mediation and settlement process to resolve matters if at all possible, but her trial experience makes her an excellent advocate in the courtroom as well.

As a mom of three active kids, Natalie is sensitive to the needs of children and challenges of parenthood, which is particularly helpful when walking through legal decision-making and parenting time matters with her clients. She also understands the importance of financial peace of mind, and therefore takes special care to ensure her clients obtain the best financial outcomes possible on issues of support, spousal maintenance, and division of assets and debts.

In addition to her case work, Natalie volunteers her time as a volunteer Judge Pro Tempore with the Pima County Superior Court, is a member of the Southern Arizona Chapter of the Arizona Women Lawyers Association, and presents at Continuing Legal Education seminars. Natalie served a 5-year tenure with the Morris K. Udall Inn of Court, and was a mentee with the Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) Mentor Group 2021-2023.

Outside of the office, Natalie most enjoys spending time with her family. In her free time, Natalie also enjoys singing, playing piano, crafting, traveling, and putting miles on her road bike in Tucson’s vibrant cycling community.

My Experience was Excellent
Natalie represented me through a very contentious situation. She was available when I needed her and responded to urgent issues almost always immediately. She knew exactly what to do when I didn’t. She is very knowledgeable and professional. She did very well representing me in court. I was able to settle my case with what I wanted.

Amazing Job
Natalie made the best out of a bad situation. Divorce sometimes comes out of nowhere, and when children are involved the emotional toll that takes can be paralyzing. Natalie and her paralegal Diana did an amazing job walking me through the process with great communication and advise. Many times she had to ground me in the facts even when the outcome seemed to be unfair. Her knowledge of the law and the process made things turn out the best I could hope for. Sometimes the results aren't what you want, but she was able to explain how in the long run it would protect me. If you need someone on your side I can't recommend her enough. A+++

A Solid Advocate for Families
Natalie was given a family case that was quite complicated and the initial proceedings demanded a quick response - during the Covid pandemic, no less. A Father and his two sisters have been caring for, raising, housing, feeding and loving three beautiful children since their birth. The children's birthmother, had not participated in their lives except to run to the court and file complaint after case against the Father and his loving family. The children never knew where the birthmother lived. Every other time they visited, they were taken to a different house and the children were taken to unneeded doctors' appointments and the birthmother's current husband/companion was questionable as to his his behavior with the the birthmother's older daughters. Natalie pursued with the court to help the court recognize that this birth mother had made false claims for years, drug the children and their father over and over agin to court for false claims and helped the court to realize these children never knew where they were going at each visit. In my opinion, too scary for words. Natalie took this case and did an excellent job for the family. When the cost of the case became burdensome, the firm graciously discounted some costs and will pursue the person who was misusing the court for some of those costs. The trauma for these children is not over. The birthmother retains visitation rights and the children are very unhappy about that and frightened, as of just last weekend they were transported for their visit to yet another house. I am not a family member of the family, but live on a ranch with this family and fear for those children. My husband and I would not hesitate to underwrite this again and work with Natalie and this amazing law firm to secure the safety of these children.
