Incompetent

Simple tax issue and change in child support based on established change in parenting time. She insisted on combining the issues which, along with allowing the other side to go months without communicating while she did nothing, dragged the case on for well over a year, costing me over $10,000 in chi...ld support I should not have been paying that whole time. When I raised my concerns, I was told I could just go hire another lawyer (with quite some attitude). When I hired her I was told that I very much could ask my ex for legal fees, but once in negotiations, I was told asking for legal fees was unrealistic. Do not hire this person.

The best!!

Riisa is the best family law attorney. Her and her staff are professional and knowledgeable as well as considerate to our needs. A true hero

We found Riisa at a very tough time. Riisa listened to our concerns and immediately got to work. Any time we had concerns, we were able to reach her directly. She has a quiet confidence about her and doesn't allow herself to be rattled by anything. She is what we needed. With Riisa's help, we were ab...le to get much more parenting time and we are grateful! If you need a family law attorney who will really be in your side and stand up for your rights, then she is the attorney for you!

Thorough, concise, educated and precise lawyer

I highly recommend Mrs. Riisa Petersen Mandel from Petersen Lawfirm PLLC in Tucson, AZ. She was able to take on my child custody case after attempting to represent myself in court. She took on my case and immediately was able to help facilitate and agreement between myself and my son's father and his... lawyer. Mrs. Petersen was extremely knowledgeable about custody law and went above and beyond to help me make logical and rational decisions regarding our child. Most importantly Mrs. Petersen was accessible either via email, phone or in person which in my opinion was the most important factor in my particular case. Every email and phone call was returned promptly in a timely fashion. I felt very protected by her representation in court and also felt she always had the best interest of my child and myself in mind, which helped us come to a very fair agreement in court. I highly value her help and expertise and highly recommend her services. As a client if you are looking to be represented by a lawyer who genuinely has your best interest in mind and will expedite a decision, she is the most suitable candidate to help represent you. She helped sort through the legal jargon and confusion and gave me the peace of mind that I was making the most informed decisions.
