Amber L. Guymon

Having been on the receiving end of an ugly divorce I am forever grateful for Amber Guymon and for the professional "I won't stoop to your level" way she handled my case. Divorcing a narcissist is not an easy task. Ms. Guymon refused to allow myself or herself to engage in the meaningless banter and ...threats my ex chose to throw at us and at the courts. His constant complaining and refusal to accept that he must follow the law like everyone else was both exhausting and time consuming. Through it all Ms. Guymon remained positive, focused and went above and beyond my expectations to bring a solid resolution to our divorce, much to the dismay of my previous husband. I found her services to be much more valuable than the rate she charges, never once feeling like my best interest wasn't her top priority. Finding a lawyer that knows the law, practices it with high standards and won't bow down to those who try to bully their way through the system was both refreshing and a blessing. If you are looking for a lawyer to protect and stand up for your rights, I highly recommend you take the time to meet with Amber Guymon and her office staff. I'm glad I did!

Ms Guymon was recommended by common friend as a good family lawyer. She was my divorce attorney. However, upon hiring her I noticed her tendency of making threats saying quote “if you do not do this the judge will order you to pay your wife trial legal fees”. I am a post university graduate and I sta...rt studying the family law. I discovered that it was a lie and her threat qualified her as lying. Majority of my emails, text messages and voice mails were not returned and she responded on only she was interested or wanted, avoiding to answer my questions. The invoices and statements were more frequent than her answers to my questions. Due to the divorce I was in I had to surrender a settlement lawsuit check that was supposed to be split 50/50 with my ex. At one point, without my permission, Ms Guymon started to pay herself legal fees from that check that was deposited in her trust fund. My email sent to her got no response and when I confronted her first time she said that was a misunderstanding…After being caught by the opposed attorney trying to take the money, she called that attorney “stupid” via text message. Ms Guymon failed to file documents with the court, causing me to pay thousands of dollars in family support, stress and anxiety. To make things worse two weeks prior to my divorce trial, she quit my case justifying a break in relationship, communication and because I was $500 late in legal fees I owed her. She also tried to take control of the proceeds from selling my house. Once I refused, she filed to withdraw from the case. She is a rookie attorney that is driven by making money and finding the easiest way for her and not for clients. The lowest rating I could give her it was 1 star. “0” It was more appropriate… I will not recommend her and I would look for an experienced and ethical lawyer who charges more, but it will serve and protect your interests.

Ms. Guymon went beyond my expectations. She represented me in a high conflict divorce matter. She paid close attention to detail prior to the hearing, collecting all of the facts and knowing the Law. She was always prompt with her return phone calls and was great at making sure I understood the pr...ocess of going to a hearing. She was outstanding in the courtroom! She knew her stuff and was on top of her game. I was very impressed!
