Very good attorney!

He helped us to get custody of my step-daughter, efficiently and directly. My husband raved about how he kept the judge and his ex to the facts. Will definitely use him again if the need arises......

BEST ATTORNEY in AZ.....Professional, Child Advocate, Educated, Family Law Experienced and most of all trusted!

I was referred to Matthew S. Schultz by another attorney that didn't think he could give me the results that I needed due to the complexity of the case. The attorney that I went to for my free consultation was honest and explained to me I had a High Conflict Child Custody case with all my evidence ...and documentation and knew I needed a good reliable attorney . He had explained to me that I needed an Aggressive Attorney that understands Family Law 110% and that can show the details of the case and expose the father to the judge with all the facts/evidence I had collected and saved for quite some time. There was a soft transfer via telephone consultation between the attorney I was talking to and Matthew S. Schultz and it went surprisingly well and I met with Matt on the following Monday. When I met with Matthew he was professional and had a great personality and didn't sugar coat anything he was honest whether it was what I wanted to hear or not. He understood what steps were needed and provided me hope and reassurance. Matt had my 2 year old son’s best interest at hand and that was calming to know. Matt was very easy to reach whether night or day via Telephone, email and or text. Matt put my mind at ease with his knowledge and ability to handle my case. Family court cases are very tough and exhausting and very emotional, but Matt made me feel confident, organized and I was able to trust him. When I confronted Matthew about his poor results he gave me a website to review the issues and for me to make the best decision for me and my family. He was honest and straight forward. Any doubt I had from this website before hiring him was thrown out the window. Matt is experienced, friendly, trusted and most of all on point. He never ever missed a file date and always kept all parties in constant communication even when the Father(Opposing side) was verbally abusive to my attorney, psychologists and me. Matt always maintained control and confidence and guided me the best way he could. He dealt with a lot in my case and was always professional and stuck to the facts at hand and provided me excellent legal advice. I've worked with Matt from May 2013 to August 2014 and he will forever be my attorney to represent me and my son in the court room. I have referred another client to Matthew S. Schultz in another High Conflict Child Custody Case and I will continue to refer him to others in the future as needs arise. My Parents have all had attorneys in their lives and they both expressed that Matthew S. Schultz did an amazing job bringing my case to the forefront and exposing the fathers issues and protecting my son. They both are also very pleased with Matthew’s professional conduct, dedication, communication and courtroom appearance. Any negativity about this attorney that you may read is completely unwarranted so don’t let that affect your decision..HIRE HIM! This attorney is amazing and a true fighter and will give his all to best represent you and your family. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MATTHEW S. SCHULTZ he will continue to be my Family Attorney for many years to come. The results were outstanding and way better than expected!!!

Great Attorney

Mr. Schultz is an amazing attorney. I have always recommended him to anyone in need of family law services. He is very knowledgable and represents his clients in a professional (and most important) educated manner.

The Best of the Best Family Lawyers

Though it has been over six years since Matt first handled our case in court, he continues to keep us abreast of the petitioner involved in our daughter's custody case. Matt really did his homework prior to the original hearing. When our case came before the judge he annihilated the opposing party, ...but did so in a highly professional manner. As a result of Matt's assertiveness, his full comprehension of the petitioner's lifestyle, and his passionate presentation techniques, the judge ruled completely in favor of our daughter and he granted her sole custody of her daughter. Thanks to Matt's complete commitment to our case, our lives have been richly blessed with a regular presence of our grand daughter. If you are ever in need of an attorney who will fight for you all the way, choose Matt Schultz. He will not disappoint you. He is the best of the best family lawyers.

Professional, Competent, Direct and Efficient

I hired Matt after having interviewed two other attorneys (and paid their consultation fee) who left me with the impression that they would not aggressively represent my interests. Both indicated that since I was the primary earner in the marriage, I should be prepared and willing to pay long-term s...pousal maintenance and accept less than half of the community portion of our assets. Matt's interpretation was different. He indicated that in my case issues such as child support and the division of community property were generally straight-forward and should not be complicated to resolve. He also indicated that spousal maintenance was not a foregone conclusion and, given the specific circumstances in my case, was not warranted. He provided me with a general timeline for the divorce process and a sense of what his overall fees would be. Matt is competent, direct and efficient. Although my former spouse terminated her first attorney half way through the divorce process, and her new attorney proceeded to repeat all of the work, communication documents, filings, etc., previously completed, which resulted in significant unnecessary fees to my former spouse, Matt endeavored to limit his fees to only what was necessary and appropriate. Consequently, in the end, my spouse's attorney's fees were almost double what mine were. Throughout the process, Matt was available to answer questions, made good decisions relative to court filings and was well prepared for hearings and for trial. His pre-trial and other documents spelled out compelling arguments and effectively represented my interests. In the end, we reached a settlement the day before our scheduled trial date. Incidentally, the settlement agreed upon was essentially the same settlement I and Matt had proposed nine months earlier, and included no spousal maintenance. Overall, I was satisfied with the outcome and with Matt's work in representing me.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"Matt's current AVVO rating is not indicative of his excellence inside and outside of the courtroom. Nor does it reflect his dedication to his clients and his ability to take on tough cases that other attorneys have passed on and then receive favorable results. Matt's 20+ client reviews speak for themselves. I have opposed Matt in several cases and each time he has left no stone unturned, meticulously attended to every detail and presented his case with the talent and skill that most other lawyers wish they had."
