The Best of the Best Family Lawyers

Though it has been over six years since Matt first handled our case in court, he continues to keep us abreast of the petitioner involved in our daughter's custody case. Matt really did his homework prior to the original hearing. When our case came before the judge he annihilated the opposing party, ...but did so in a highly professional manner. As a result of Matt's assertiveness, his full comprehension of the petitioner's lifestyle, and his passionate presentation techniques, the judge ruled completely in favor of our daughter and he granted her sole custody of her daughter. Thanks to Matt's complete commitment to our case, our lives have been richly blessed with a regular presence of our grand daughter. If you are ever in need of an attorney who will fight for you all the way, choose Matt Schultz. He will not disappoint you. He is the best of the best family lawyers.

Responsive, Professional, Knowledgeable, and Aggressive - an advocate for father's rights.

When my ex decided to load up the van and leave in the middle of the night with my 2 girls, I had no idea the roller coaster I was in for. Mr. Schultz was one of the few to take my telephone call on a Saturday, provide good advice over the phone and was ready to take on my case by Monday. The c...ase got ugly fast, Mr. Schultz was prepared with all of the legal paperwork, technical consultants, and child custody process documentation. Together we compiled over 400 pages of evidence, 8 witnesses, and expert testimony to refute the claims presented by my ex. In court appearances, he was professional yet aggressive and always prepared. His experience enabled him to anticipate the other parties moves and statements making it easy to put forth a clear message to the judge. While the opposing lawyer was re-hashing the same statements in every document submitted to the court, Mr. Schultz was compiling transcripts from the prior hearings and always one step ahead. With the opposing counsel was floundering for direction, Mr. Schultz suggested a full Custody Evaluation. Once set in motion, Mr. Schultz worked tirelessly over many nights and weekends to compile my documentation, witness lists, doctor and medical records, and court documents to present to the court appointed psychologist. When it came to mediation, Mr. Schultz ensured that I had all of the paperwork ready and we had met over the desired outcomes. This effort allowed the mediator to have quick answers, based on facts. Although I am currently paying spousal support, the amount is a fraction of what she had asked for and for half the duration. Overall, it was the best possible outcome. The final trial was almost comical to watch, even though I had given specific instructions to my dad - he let out a couple of laughs. Mr. Schultz took control and the opposing counsel had no new information, and not a foot to stand on. As a result, she OWES me $6k for my legal costs even though she did not (and has not) earned an income.

Loyalty & Hard Work Personified

Matt and I have a longstanding client/counsel relationship that has definitely evolved over almost 10 years that we've known each other. He helped me when I was a young single dad, with hardly enough borrowed money to even pay a retainer, yet he treated me like his star client. As the years have pa...ssed, with the ups and downs of the economy blessing my career and then wreaking havoc on it, my daughter's mom has tried almost every excuse to come after me for money and withhold as much parenting time as she possibly could. But Matt has been the rock of confidence and calm to help me maintain hope. A hope that despite the toughness of the battle, it is ALWAYS worth it when I can see my beautiful child grow with my love and influence as her dad. The road has been difficult as we've had a handful of different judges throughout the process and obstacles thrown out from an interesting variety of opposing counsel, at any attempt I've filed to have more time with my daughter. Matt has clearly been the superior representative against each and every different attorney that has been hired by my daughter's mother. I have recommended him many times over, and will continue to do so as long as there are parents out there who, like myself, are getting the raw end of the stick from unfair and abusive co-parents. The fact that he is still my go-to family counsel after all these years is testament enough to his integrity and skill-set.

Matt is the reason I have soo much time with my daughter!

I hired Matt through a friends recommendation when my ex decided to try to take my daughter away from me. His rates are reasonable, and his service and availability are amazing! While prepping for court, he coached me through all of the potential questions I would be asked, and gave me things to rese...arch so I wouldn't run into any surprises. During my hearing, he was aggressive and stern, yet professional. HE IS THE REASON I HAVE SO MUCH TIME WITH MY DAUGHTER! With his help, I was able to get almost 50/50 custody!

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"Matt's current AVVO rating is not indicative of his excellence inside and outside of the courtroom. Nor does it reflect his dedication to his clients and his ability to take on tough cases that other attorneys have passed on and then receive favorable results. Matt's 20+ client reviews speak for themselves. I have opposed Matt in several cases and each time he has left no stone unturned, meticulously attended to every detail and presented his case with the talent and skill that most other lawyers wish they had."
