Rod has been a practising business lawyer for 4 decades, and has represented dozens of clients in the purchase and sale of a business. Related to his business practice, he also helps clients with solutions to a variety of real estate matters, and does collections work (and other dispute resolution) relating to both business and real estate subject matters.
After graduating from University of Chicago Law School, he worked at the largest law firm in Michigan, representing public and private business clients on a range of matters, with a particular focus on corporate organization and finance and the purchase and sale of businesses. His work with that law firm led to positions as General Counsel to a couple of publicly-traded companies that needed his expertise and skills in business organizations, the purchase of businesses, and corporate finance.
He subsequently opened his own private practice (first in Michigan, and then in Arizona since 1998), and continued to represent business clients both large and small on a broad range of matters, including the purchase and sale of businesses, real estate purchases and sales, corporate organization and finance, and collections and dispute resolution.
Rod is also a licensed real estate broker in Arizona, which makes it possible for him to represent you in the purchase of a business at little or no cost to you; see his website (#!how-i-can-do-this-at-little-or-no-cost/crhu) for complete details.

Rude and non caring
Reached out to Mr. Knight with a debt collection issue. Not only did he not return my email, but when I finally got him on the phone, he could have cared less. Was by far the most rude and non caring lawyer I have ever had the displeasure of taking too. Told me he could not help and good luck, pho...
I'm sorry that Danny feels that I treated him rudely. I never received any email from him; and, when he called me out of the blue, using a "restricted" phone number, I was in the middle of something important and did not have time to talk. I graciously told him that I could not help him, and wished him luck on his problem. It is a bit of a stretch for him to characterize our short phone conversation as a "consultation"; rather, he called to see if I could help him, which I told him I could not, and that was the end of the conversation.

There are very few lawyers I have come across that know the intricate details of the process of both, especially when it comes to non-earnings (i.e. Bank levy’s). However, each time I have utilized Av...
