Inaccurate and poor communicator

I feel I waisted my money. Please check all reviews before obtaining. Last minute, not prepared for court. Needed to be reminded of evidence. Doesn't respond well to direct questions, responds to a different question than asked. Was mad when I asked too many questions then became defensive.. Many mis...takes, many small, but still had to be corrected. Those corrections cost me money. When I finally went to court for the divorce, the judge and opposing councel found additional mistakes. Very embarrassing.

Hey Lizzie, I am sorry that you had a negative experience. Often times, when parties enter into settlement agreements, but still feel emotionally upset, the ending of the case can leave one or both parties still feeling "embattled", thus making the finalization of the documents difficult. Sometimes parties want to make changes during the drafting of an agreement and are frustrated when they are unable to make substantive changes. Typically, those feelings dissipate as time goes on. I understand that you were upset that I had to withdraw from your case when you wanted to withdraw your agreement. I see that you and J are still embattled in the system, representing yourselves. That is a tough way to proceed. I hope that you and J are able to move forward and enjoy your life without the need for further court involvement someday soon and that you can get along for the sake of your beautiful daughters.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
