Richard Steven Fregin

I would like to commend Richard on his work on my behalf. He handled my divorce, and did a great job. Of course it was a sad, draining and emotional situation, but he was an outstanding person to be able to speak with in regards to my issues. He presented not just the perspective I wanted to hear, bu...t a perspective that was bilateral and reasonable. He talked me ‘off my ledge’ when I was working myself up with issues that were not actually worthy of even being issues. Sometimes I had concerns that were in need of a prompt and direct response, and other times I had questions and ‘what if’ scenarios that he helped talk me through. He was very reasonable in cost, exceptional in service and sound in advice and guidance. Along with that is his assistant Mandy Demers. She is a remarkable woman. She has a very good grasp of the ‘ins and outs’ of the law and of filing. She was hands down a saving grace for me when she would accept a short 15min call that would relieve me for hours and hours of internal stress. She has been in the business for a long while, and her experience is invaluable. I think this team is awesome, and not that I would ever wish a divorce or family matter on anyone, but if the time/need comes, you would be foolish to go with anyone but these two.

I have two ex-wives. Two. They knew of each other and had plenty of time to get friendly and come up with lots of stories about how neglectful, abusive and evil I am. All exes do that, sure, but I had two. Where that get's sticky is that they would talk to court-appointed people and tell these sto...ries they had cooked up; their interview matched each other, but didn't match mine, of course. Those reports to the court would then say something like "their stories match, so it must be true" and the judges would act as if it actually were true, and was upset because he thought I was lying to boot. That's a lot of leverage, substantiated by deadbeat dad stereotypes but unchecked by reality. Imagine how badly that could go. My situation was worse than that. Have you ever gone into a hearing to find out that your expensive attorney isn't prepared? They aren't aware of key details of your case or even where to find them in your file? This was how I was being separately represented in the midst of the exes using and abusing the system. It's at this low point that I hired Rich to represent me in both cases. Rich and his paralegal, Mandy, were fantastic from Day 1. They're professional and very detailed. There was never a point at which I felt that they were forgetting any details or missing the point in any of my pleadings or proceedings. In the end, they turned that horrible situation into a much more fair and balanced one. It didn't happen overnight, but they were extremely effective... both legally and in keeping me focused on the big picture along the way. Rich will be my attorney until I no longer need one. I will not hesitate to recommend him to anyone and everyone.

i recently had to go thru one of the hardest times in my life. being married with 5 children for 8 years and sad to say the marriage was indisputably broken. i didn't want to be taken advantage of because i have been thru similar courts and was left with a very bad outcome due to another lawyer not d...oing his job properly. i was very hesitant to get another but knew i needed one. Rich was an attorney assigned to my case by a firm I had hired 3-4 years ago. I had a very nasty battle with my children that spanned 2 counties so it made my case very difficult. I liked Rich very much because he was very nice, he didn't make me feel as if I was beneath him as others in the legal in...dustry have. When Rich left this firm he had the respect to contact me and tell me so that I didn't feel as if he just up and left me. It was this day that I knew that Rich stood above many of the other attorneys out there and also helped to put a positive perspective on such a bad reputation that attorney's have. I didn't just feel like I had an attorney, I felt lie I had a friend too. I liked how knowledgable he was and always willing to help, as well s how patient he was with all of my questions.He was also never above showing his human side. He understood and made me feel a lot bettter about the nasty battle I was going through. He was compassionate, professional and I would recommend his services to anyone just as I have in the past. :0)
