No business in family law

Mrs Curry was not able to consider basic family law 403 factors in her position to the court and she fell short on being fair and impartial and ended up showing favoritism. Regardless of my direct questions about the concerns I had, she stated she had no formal knowledge or training to adequately be ...a deciding party in the case yet she remained appointed. The courts will always weigh an attorney in this position higher than the actual party in the case who has the real experience, and that is simply a dangerous position to be in with this attorney hired or appointed to your family case. If this attorney is appointed utilize the fact that she has no formal knowledge or training to handle anything other than basic family law, nor any knowledge of the psychology that goes along with it, nor the specific concerns related to parental issues to object to her appointment. Do not allow this attorney to have any active involvement in your case. If you have a complex family court case state that and request a CAA or psych evaluations instead of allowing this attorneys involvement. As the other reviews show this attorney will soak up the money and in the end provide the court with a position that simply alleviates any further burden on her for any kind of appeal. She will provide an opinion of another Judge's ruling or care provider to remove the her liability from her court provided position. Child interviews were not managed appropriately to remove the ability for one parent to coach child prior. This parental issue can skew the standing of the case because this attorney has no expertise in any family related psychology and will be easily swayed by a convincing but dishonest party.

Best Interest Attorney?...

The title “Best Interest” is a joke.... I would like to echo the previous review and also state that after almost a year of having been assigned to my case as my son’s “BIA”... she too had walked away with a healthy paycheck after only deferring her position to a Child Counselor (who also is is need ...of a review) and regurgitating her statements about her “opinion” of me.... From the beginning she admitted this case was something she is perplexed by; given all the confusing/conflicting information and evidence (or lack there of)...She was assigned to find out if indeed there was any proof or evidence of child abuse (as alleged)... and of course there was none.. however she echoed the opinion of a child counselor whom only visited with my son twice a month... for 8 months.. Given the fact that his mother was the ONLY one allowed to take him to and from the appointments and I constantly stated my opinion on the concerns of her manipulation of his thoughts and feeings towards me... she refused to look into that.. instead she decided it was only appropriate to “take the path of least resistance” and look for the opinion of a less than qualified counselor... At trial it was obvious whos side she was on.... evidenced by the “softball sized questions” she cross examined mother with... she failed to bring up very IMPORTANT and DAMAGING information she had from her first interview with my son... in nearly a year of her being assigned to the case.. I met with her only once and she “interviewed” my son three times.... (twice being during the parenting time of mother)... Definitely do not recommend her for ANY “Best Interest Assignments”...

Stay far, far away from this one, folks!

After conferring with the Best Interest Attorney, Mrs. Curry, for my custody case, I almost immediately realized this woman was a poor choice for such an important position. This "advocate" for children consistently provided false information time after time. I was pawned off to another provider, wh...o made inaccurate statements about me and sure enough Mrs. Curry repeated the same false information to the judge. Frustrating cannot even begin to describe what it felt like to hear someone who supposedly has your child's "Best Interest" in their title, echo falsehoods without vetting the information properly. What's even worse is that AFTER the year or so that she continually conveyed to the court the wrong information, right before my trial she decides to reach out to me and ask if I wanted to meet her. Naturally, I declined as she's sabotaged my intent to being involved in my son's life but all of a sudden she feels it prudent to get my side of the story??! What a joker. She expects me to drive across town to see her yet a week prior was just in my town interviewing my child attempting to convince him that he should avoid me. What truly ails me, besides having Mrs. Curry assigned to my case, is the waste of state money she must have been paid for her role. She served absolutely no purpose in my family court case but to parrot incorrect information and gets to simply walk away with I assume to be a nice payday for nominal work.
