I joined Udall Shumway PLC in March 2011 and became a Partner in January 2018. I originally joined the Firm as a Family Law attorney and successfully practiced in that area of law until transitioning to the Education Law section of the Firm in the Fall of 2017. My practice of Education Law includes representing the firm’s clients in a broad range of matters, including student discipline, open meeting law compliance, employment law, and policy review. As an attorney, my clients have always relied on me as an effective advocate and a solution-oriented problem solver. As a family law attorney, I represented clients in a wide array of family law issues including divorce, custody (now known as “legal decision making”), relocation and modification actions from initial filing through final resolution or trial. Additionally, I historically assisted education law clients navigate family law issues including Subpoena compliance and court order interpretation. I have also presented to education law clients on matters involving family law. My experience and background serve my Education Law clients well going forward.
I am a proud “Double Devil” having received my Juris Doctorate from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, and both my Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from ASU and Barrett, the Honors College, Summa Cum Laude. From law school, I graduated with Pro Bono Distinction and as a Pedrick Scholar. I was an Assistant Project Director for the Homeless Legal Assistance Project and I was awarded the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Arizona Chapter 2007-2008 Scholarship.
As an active member of the community at large, I have a passion for improving the lives and education of children. I presently sit on the Board of Directors for the Association for Supportive Child Care, a non-profit organization dedicated to the enhancement of child care for Arizona’s children, and I was previously a 3-year volunteer mock trial coach at a valley high school.
Away from the office, I enjoy time with my active family. We can usually be found at a kids’ sports practice, at an air show, cheering on the Chicago Cubs (my home town team), or simply enjoying one of many outdoor activities in either Arizona or Montana.

Thank god for the law firm she worked for that notice this criminal activity and reversed the charges. Do not hire run out of ...

divorce/relocation
I used Lindsay's services on two separate occasions: one to file for divorce and another to file for a relocation back to my home state with my children. Looking back, the divorce was relatively simple and painless. The relocation case was by far the most difficult and emotional thing I've ever bee...
