The second attorney said that based on our inputs, we don’t qualify for Chapter 7, nor Chapter 13. Told us that we are stuck in the middle where he cannot help us. We don’t qualify for Ch7 because our income is too high. We don’t have any money left over to pay the creditors for the Ch13. And did not spend any more time with us to do the long form or look at other deductions. Then without giving up, we found Carlene Simmons. After the initial consultation with Carlene, she told us that we definitely can qualify for a Ch13 for sure based on her calculations. But our income was a bit too high and therefore do not qualify for a Ch7. She gave us a chance and actually worked with us through all the paperwork and details.
