Alane Michelle Ortega

Alane has been the Guardian Angel for me and my children. I cannot begin to express how much her hard work (and that of her staff) has impacted my life. Alane is not just your attorney, she's your support, your hero, your defender, and your friend. Many times I am sure I drove her crazy with my const...ant need to be informed of every detail on my case but she handled it in stride. Eventually, I let go because I knew I was in good hands. Know this... Just because she may not be filling you in on every detail of what is going on at that moment, she is painstakingly working behind the scenes to fight for you and your children. Technical Aspects: Alane is master strategist and treats her decisions like a game of chess rather than checkers. She is always two steps ahead of the opposition and is capable of strategizing beyond the current Dependency case. Although we were dealing with acute issues involved in the Dependency, she always had her hand on the pulse of the family court case which would surely follow. She understood how we could use information from the current circumstances to further support a future argument in family court. Alane is a force to be reckoned with in trial. She is able to quickly think on her feet, find immediate inconsistencies, and completely dismantle a witness; and she does it with class, confidence and tact. He redirect and cross examination skills are also extremely refined and masterful. An issue was raised during my testimony which was blown out of proportion and she was able to bring the entire Courtroom back to reality with just three simple questions. Her trial prowess is something everyone should witness because it's awesome. Alane can dissect evidence like a surgeon. This is in terms of our own evidence and that of the opposing parties. She is not shy about asking for clarification if something does not make sense. She also is able to recognize when an expert is needed and will work with you in order to find one who meets your needs professionally and financially. In conclusion, Alane has been a gift to my family. We could not have done this without her. She is what every attorney needs to be. She'll never say she can make miracles happen but I assure you, she can. Alane, if you're reading this, I am in your debt (both literally and figuratively lol) but it's the best money I've ever spent and it couldn't have went to a better or more competent person.
