I hired alane for a dcs case and she got right on it from start to finish it was a long road but she always was informing me of what was going on and what was the next step to get my children and my family back together. She looked after the best interest for me and my children. She was always 2steps... ahead from dcs. She worked aggressively against dcs she was always on top of it letting me know what will help what we can do to get things done so that the dependency could be dismissed. sure enough she got it done. thanks to her since hiring her me and my family saw a big difference because dcs kept giving me and my family the run around and kept lying to us and the court on what they promised us in every meeting we would have with them and what they would agree to do to move forward dcs would constantly lie and kept ignoring us till they felt like talking to us. She would make sure to get answers for us and if dcs wouldn’t get to us she would make sure that if i couldn’t get answers from dcs she would and she would notify me everytime. Very time I had a question or just wanted to know more about the dependency or what was it looking like going in to court she would always email me back and also even give me a call and give me a call back even when the office was closed she would take the time out of her afternoon to speak to me. I highly recommend her to anyone that is in need of a experienced aggressive lawyer!!! You will not be disappointed.

So, Ms. Ortega was a court appointed representative assigned to my case. I called her office to see if something could be done regarding my case. I get a call back almost 2 weeks later from her secretary letting me know that Ms. Ortega wanted to schedule a call & if I would available to speak now or ...if a later time would be better. This was at 10:41 am, I informed her that it would be better to speak in about half an hour if possible & her secretary told me that she wills schedule the call for 11:30 which was perfect for me. When I still had not received a call by 11:45 I went to take a shower & upon checking my phone again at 12:14 I saw I had 2 missed phone calls at 11:51 & 11:52, so I promptly called back & was connected with Ms. Ortega. Within the first few words spoken I had already sensed an attitude & when I called her out on it she said she wasn’t speaking about neither her attitude nor mine but the fact of the matter was “I had a call scheduled for 10:30 that I called the office and made due to some questions I had, and since I wasn’t available at the time I scheduled now I was wasting the time she was suppose to be helping someone else, so how can she help me?” ...... ummm was that a joke? She FINALLY gets back to me 2 weeks later, had HER secretary call me to make schedule a time and when SHE misses the time and I call back I’M wasting someone’s time?!? Like I completely understand that I am not paying for her service, but don’t take these cases if you feel like I’m just wasting your time, you could be doing other things & just simply can’t be bothered. Completely unprofessional in my opinion & quite honestly I’m extremely surprised. Considering I’ve read only good reviews on her. Not sure if she was just having a bad morning or if she’s only the perfect lawyer for those who are paying her but at this moment all I can say is I’m sure glad that not a penny was spent on my end to be spoken to like I’m so far beneath her. So Alane, I am so deeply sorry for bothering you & wasting your precious time. Maybe you should get your facts straight before talking to people like that. Not happy at all, to say the least.
