Sonja S. Duckstein

I don’t recommend Sonja Duckstein as a defender for any DUI case. Not only did she push to plea right away, she tried to charge me an additional $3,000 for a revocation packet that only cost me $105 to do myself. Her lousy defense has ruined my life and kept me from employment for two years. I’m home...less! She didn’t even interview the officer who lied about almost every single charge and detail regarding the stop. If I knew the damage that she allowed the prosecutor and a dishonest officer of the law was going do to my reputation, I would have never given her a second chance. She also promised to get the charges set aside; more bs. She did almost nothing to win my case. She’s doesn’t fight for anything but increasing her fees and minimizing her workload. Sonja is more of a prosecutor than a defender and it shows. Sonja is a dishonest defender and doesn’t give a hoot about her clients.

On one occasion I was facing prison time for an aggravated DUI and Sonja was able to bargain for work-release jail instead, effectively saving my career. On another occasion, I was facing an assault charge and Sonja was able to get the case dismissed before I even appeared in court! She also handled ...my set-aside for a very fair rate. On top of her performance, she and Marcy are very prompt and pleasant to talk to. Over the years, with them on side, I've been well taken care of and can honestly say I feel like I've gotten more than my money's worth.

I have not even hired her yet, but I have to say that I will more than likely be doing so if she decides to take my case. What a wonderful woman! You can tell she truly cares about her clients, and that means more to me than anything. She answered all my questions, and took the time to review my pape...rwork. I was torn between accepting a plea for something that I didn't feel I did wrong, or taking it to trial, and she made me feel more at ease. I had to talk to many arrogant lawyers before I found her. They refused to answer any of my questions. Even if I don't end up needing her for trial I still feel that she's knowledgeable and makes herself available to you. Thank you, Sonja. Your compassion is clearly what gets you your rave reviews on here!

I was referred to Sonja after contacting another attorney, and she was immediately advising me, how to best interact with my significant other, and guide me through my case. She quickly spoke with the Prosecutor and got my charge diverted with classes, but the reassurance of having her on my side kep...t me on track with work. She's become my legal resource for my father and I, and I would highly recommend to anyone with criminal charges.
