My husband and I retained Carissa to represent us in the case against his ex-wife and while the retainer was on the expensive side, we do not regret it. Carissa is a fabulous attorney and she is amazing at what she does. You can tell she loves her job and really cares about her clients and their fa...milies. She was honest with us and told us the "not so ugly truth" sometimes but that is what makes a great attorney. She kept us in the loop and returned our calls and emails (but also did not waste attorney time on unnecessary phone time). Some may say that she (or her law office) is expensive but you get what you pay for. And it was money WELL spent. I would recommend her and Jaburg Wilk to everyone and I have recommended her to friends, just as she was recommended to us by a friend.

Carissa was recommended to me by a friend. I had never been in court before and the opposing Attorney was pretty vicious. Carissa told me not to get upset, that everything would work out ok for me and that I had a good case. Well she was right all along. Carissa was very fair and straightforward ...with me regarding all the issues and was very professional and courteous. I couldn't have picked a better attorney.

Carissa is the best! I picked her out of a million lawyers looking here on AVVO. I wanted someone who wasn't scared to speak up for me and WANT to win my case. Carissa is definitely that woman! She went completely above and beyond to help me with my case. She never left me in the dark on anything and... was always in contact with me no matter how busy she was. And one thing that I adore about Carissa is that she never sugar coats anything. Most people hate the fact that lawyers tell them no, that's unrealistic, or I can't do that; But I loved that fact about Carissa. She let me know about how things could go but also how things are most likely going to go. She never gives false hope and lets you know right away if something will most likely work or not. She is highly outspoken and some people can't handle that, so for the ratings on here that say shes horrible and rude, no SHE IS NOT! She is realistic, blunt, caring, and has a love for helping people. Like a lawyer should be. I thank you Carissa for helping me with my cases. It was money well spent! And I will always come to you for my family court cases :)

I would recommend Carissa in a heart beat! Carissa was on my case for 5 months and represented me through my divorce process and the custody of my children. She went above and beyond what I had expected, was always available, honest and always direct with me on any questions or problems I had. Cariss...a was there to represent me and my family not my money! She was very quick to all responses and her knowledge regarding all laws and regulations about divorce and child custody were outstanding... I feel that Carissa was the best choice I could have made and she hands down proved me right in my decision. I plan on using Carissa on any future needs and would defiantly recommend her to anyone in need of her services.

I hired her for a divorce after a long marriage. I was worried about getting support for myself and my kids and she was initially really nice but when I had questions, she was unavailable and when I could reach her, she was curt and just rude. I did not get what I needed and it was due to Carissa jus...t not caring about me or my case. Overall, she was really expensive, thanks Visa, and made my divorce more difficult not better. I would not recommend her.
