I had some arguments with him, but it turned out that he was right in the end. He sincerely discusses questions about billing and tells you that lawsuit is sometimes not a good solution.
While my Mother was in the end of her life, she wanted to be sure she had "her ducks in a row" for me. There were many legalities that needed attention that she had already attempted to address and plan. During the last week of her life she insisted her will and be reviewed by a local attorney to assure it would be recognized in Arizona, as it had been written when I was still a minor in another state. I was able to contact Platt & Westby through their website, able to speak with Mr. Westby over the phone, and schedule a free consultation with their firm. The time Mr. Rahtz took to answer more questions than just "is this will ok for Arizona?", and the patience and compassion shown was so genuine. The firm never asked nor expected me to pay for the consultation. The experience of tending to all the legalities up to that point had been overwhelming. Mr. Rahtz was able to set MY mind, and my Mother's at ease. We will be using Platt & Westby to prepare my wife's and my wills, DPOAs, living wills, MPOAHCs, all due to the prompt reply and compassion shown me during a very difficult time in our lives.
Mr. Westby is skilled in finding solutions to personal and business challenges and believes that he can serve clients best by researching and identifying options that are creative, cost effective and that minimize conflict and litigation. His 40+ years of experience in law and real estate investment enable him to quickly zero in on critical issues, provide a clear analysis of options and give recommendations that make sense.Â
Mr. Westby practices in the areas of real estate law, civil litigation, family law, wills, estates, probates and trusts. In addition, the firm has expertise in Bankruptcy law, Estate litigation, Business formation, Formation of General Partnerships, Corporations and Limited Liability Companies, Business contracts and litigation, Adoption and child custody matters, guardianships and conservatorships, estate and trust administration.

Good Probate and Real Estate Lawyer
Peter Westby assisted me with a real estate transaction and related litigation and an estate plan. He was very aggressive and knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The real estate matter was part of a probate with family members and the problem required a lawyer with good people skills. He did an excellent job in all of the matters that I have asked him to handle for me

Helpful, Assertive & Trustworthy
Mr. Westby spent over 45 minutes with me in my free consultation answering questions, discussing my options and reviewing my history (which was important in my matter). I now have created a relationship with Mr. Westby that I feel I have a go-to attorney. He impressed me with his high ethical standards and his level of professionalism. I trust him completely, and am very thankful I was able to find him.
