My husband and I were in an accident in 2011 in which my husband lost his leg and my elbow was shattered. The other driver fell asleep and crossed the center line. While recovering in the hospital, a dear friend strongly suggested we contact Randy. Randy came to visit us in the hospital immediately. ...We were in such bad shape; we could not even think straight. Randy explained, very clearly, what we could expect in the coming months and, as it turned out, years. He was patient and very kind. We could not know, but he did, that our journey was just beginning. My husband and I had both been in law enforcement for many years but this awful situation was totally out of our comfort zone. Randy is such an experienced and remarkable attorney. He took us through every miserable situation we encountered, some of which had nothing to do with the accident but everything to do with our state of mind. We had conversations when I was in tears but Randy heard me out and then very gently explained the law and how the system worked. The news was not always good, and nothing would ever give us back what we had lost but Randy really gave us hope - not that we would be millionaires when it was over but that we WOULD get through it with his help. And we did. And, truthfully, I learned a lot during our talks. I really learned to so much about the law and the medical system in our country from Randy. Our accident was almost 6 years ago yet I still talk to him about how we are doing, milestones in our lives, our granddaughter (who was with us that day), and our everyday life. We are firm believers that we are masters of our own lives, that we make a choice every day to get up or stay down. Randy made our choice to get up and fight, very hard, much more bearable. I am not sure how we would have survived without Randy's guidance, expertise, and professionalism.
