Bankruptcy and Debt 25%

Sometimes bad things happen to good people. Such as an unexpected illness, job loss, or divorce and they get behind on their bills. Some people are able to settle their outstanding debt for less than what they owe. Others are better off filing for chapter 7 Bankruptcy and getting a fresh start.

Criminal Defense 25%

Everyone deserves a second chance when they make a poor decision. An arrest for a criminal offense should not haunt someone for years if not the rest of their life. If you are charged with a criminal offense, it is vital that you hire an experienced attorney to defend your constitutional rights.

Divorce and Separation 20%

Divorce is never easy. If the parties can cooperate and come to a reasonable division of their assets they can save a lot of money and emotional strain and move on with their lives. If the parties have children, I always counsel my clients to keep the best interest of the child in mind when making decisions and not to use the children as a tool or weapon against the Ex.

Contracts and Agreements 15%

Every agreement involving money should be in writing and sign by all the parties. A good contractual agreement will save all the parties time, money, and hurt feelings in the future. I can not count how many times major and expensive legal disputes could have been avoided if the parties would have spent a little time and money having a good contract drafted. It is easier to avoid a car crash that fix the car after the crash.

Real Estate 15%

I have counseled clients on all aspects of real estate law since 2001. Before signing a REPC or rental contract both parties should know exactly what their rights and responsibilities are before signing their life away. Purchasing real estate can be very complicated financing, proper disclosures, clear title. Some real estate agents just want you to sign the REPC and receive their $$ Before signing a contract, consult with an experienced real estate attorney looking out for your interests.

A very Knowledgeable, Trustworthy Lawyer.

Neil Harris was recommended to me as being a very knowledgeable individual that knew a lot about bankruptcy. I made the appointment which much to my surprise was within a couple of days. Talking to Neil was very trustworthy, as well as responsive. He kept me very informed of all the goings on, and w...hat I needed to do. I was very impressed by his actions, and his knowledge of the facts and findings in bankruptcy. I would highly recommend this lawyer.

Passionate

I am an attorney colleague and I associate, refer cases, or consult with Neil for cases involving criminal defense, collection defense, bankruptcy, business organizations, real estate, landlord / tenant, and other business related matters. Neil is a JD/MBA with a lot of experience and is passionate a...bout his cases and clients. His fees are pretty reasonable too.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
