OUTCOME: reduced plea

My client was charged with driving under the influence. In fact, he only had marijuana in his system. In Utah, if you are guilty of DUI if yo have an measurable amount of an illegal or controlled sub ... stance in your body. I was able to persuade the prosecutor to reduce the DUI to the a metabolite because he had marijuana in system. Result no mandatory jail time as with a DUI and less then one half of the fine imposed for a DUI. Without an attorney he would have been convicted of DUI.
