Thank you for taking the time to read this review. I rarely write reviews about business and people that I have worked with unless I am truly happy or truly disappointed. I feel that otherwise, they are performing the service at the expected rate or cost and deserve little praise. In this case, ...however, I hired Mark Steward on a cold call to the Advocates as someone I knew had used them for an injury case and was very satisfied with their law firm. They advertise on the radio that even if they can't help you with a specific type of law, they will give you a number of someone they recommend for your situation. Straight away I was connected with Mark Stewart who specializes in Child Custody Law. Realize this is a very emotional field to work in and I am always doubtful about peoples claims. He offered to meet with me on Monday which was a holiday to take a look at what I had prepared. Up to this point I had represented myself, pro-se. I felt that since it was easy to that point then why waste the money? I had been in my comfort zone so far, but the next steps required a lot of paper work that I simply was not knowledgeable about. I asked him prior to hiring straight to his face "Are you a good lawyer, are you the best guy for the money for this job?" He said "I believe I am a good attorney and that I am fair with my billing." I took his word for it and have been very satisfied. Fast forward and I got my son back from my baby's mother's mom in time for Christmas. I didn't expect things to go so smoothy, but all he did was get everything to me that I needed and made my holidays a little brighter. I now have my son and am involved with his step mother into getting him healthier and working through his therapies. It was always about my boy. I think Mark knew that. I can take the heartache and the tough times, but my son only deserves to have the best chance possible. I'm a good man and only wanted the best for my son. I met with several other attorneys and one of the guys calling themselves the fathers lawyers wanted to text more than listen to my concerns. That bothered me. I am very happy that I chose Mark Stewart with the Advocates. He was the right man for this job. I highly recommend that any man or woman needing quality assistance with a custody dispute sit down and at least talk with him. Let him know every detail that your case involves as it will help him form an objective decision on your best course of action. I give this man my thanks and a FULL and HEART FILLED FIVE STARS for going above and beyond the call of duty. He got me my son to rear and raise. I could ask for no more.
