A Utah trooper seized 100K in cash (after they skimmed a few grand off the top for themselves) and Jim was able to get 90% back in a settlement with the state about 3-4 months later. He could have gotten 100%, but he let me know that Utah would drag their feet for a year knowing that they didn't have... a case as Jim had identified some things that invalidated the search (dog hitting on the car with a back window that was cracked open). The entire time Jim was good about answering all my questions, calling me back, keeping me informed during the process, and not misleading me in anyway (sometimes lawyers like to over promise to get you on the hook—not Jim).
