The charges stemmed from injuries sustained by a one-year-old child due t ... o suspected "shaken baby" conduct. Represented by another law firm, the defendant was initially convicted at a trial. Brown, Bradshaw & Moffat became involved after the verdict and just prior to sentencing. The Court granted a new trial when it was shown that the jury instructions were incorrect. Additionally, new evidence was obtained showing that material information had been withheld by the treating hospital and investigative team. The case was retried with Brown, Bradshaw & Moffat as counsel. Upon retrial, the defendant was found not guilty.
