My co-parent (ex-spouse) and I went to Ms. Dalton to make a modification to our divorce decree that included child support and parent-time adjustments. Though the process is typically difficult, my co-parent and I had reached an agreement in principle on our own prior to seeking mediation. Ms. Dalt...on offered to facilitate a formal mediation appointment and write the stipulation to be filed with the court which was very appealing to us since we had seemingly done the hard part. To her credit, Ms. Dalton was very accommodating on schedule even on very short notice. The result of the mediation however, was several document drafts which included language contrary to the agreement made in the mediation appointment and to which I openly rejected multiple times, but my co-parent had requested of Ms. Dalton privately, a recommendation by Ms. Dalton that my co-parent did not need to include proof of income for my review, and a lack of “facilitative” mediation, or "coaching" to help us hammer through these issues. I should also mention that in order to file the modification, both my co-parent and I would have had to sign a Certificate of Compliance with Child Support Guidelines which certificate clearly states that we had reviewed one another’s financial documents and agreed the support calculation was correct. By recommending my co-parent not submit financial documents for my review, I was therefore being requested to perjure myself. The resulting arguments led to my co-parent cancelling mediation. Ms. Dalton was decidedly biased, even contrary to law in our case. Ours was a case which should have been simple since we had already agreed in principle, and therefore I would not recommend her services to anyone.

I used Elizabeth initially as a mediator and also as a divorch coach to get me out of a difficult court situation so that our two families could move on and get out of the court system. Elizabeth was very professional and was extremely fair with her billing of her services. She was also very prompt ...at getting back with me.
