also known as Jeff, Crandall
Jeffery J. Crandall, Esq., AEP® is the Managing Partner of Crandall Law Group, PLLC, which specializes in business and estate planning. Mr. Crandall brings nearly 30 years of experience in matters concerning, estate planning, business succession, taxes, real estate, and elder law.
Mr. Crandall is licensed to practice law in the states of Idaho, Washington and California and has been practicing in the Coeur d’Alene, Idaho area for over 20 years. He was admitted to the U.S. District Court, District of Idaho in 1994. Earning his J.D. degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law with distinction in 1985, he earlier completed a B.S. degree in Business Management (Finance) with minors in Accounting and Economics from Brigham Young University in 1981.
He has worked in a wide variety of legal environments; a 150+ attorney firm in Southern California, a sole practice in North Idaho, amid-sized business and litigation firm, and small boutique firm specializing in business and estate planning. Mr. Crandall has also served as the General Counsel for a publicly-held NASDAQ-traded company.
By working in a small, specialized law firm, Mr. Crandall finds that he has the freedom to focus all of his efforts on the needs of his clients. He has carefully surrounded himself with attorneys and staff members, who like him, are dedicated to collaborating as a team to successfully deliver exceptional service to the firm’s clients.
Mr. Crandall chose to become an attorney because he finds that helping people solve problems gives him great personal fulfillment. It is even more rewarding to him to help clients avoid costly problems that can be to their disadvantage, now and in the future. He enjoys meeting people, making new friends, and developing long-term relationships with his clients and business associates. It is his philosophy that the greatest happiness in life comes from serving others. Mr. Crandall and his staff serve clients by helping them preserve and pass on the legacies they have spent a lifetime creating.
Because Mr. Crandall has been an entrepreneur and business owner, as well as working for a major corporation, he is familiar with the challenges facing today’s businesses. This diverse background gives him a unique perspective and approach to the practice of law regarding businesses.
Mr. Crandall believes in giving back to the community, and is active in professional and community organizations, serving on numerous non-profit boards.
He and his wife, Julie, along with their family members, are very active in church, international humanitarian efforts, and local community activities, including community-based compassionate service projects, music, theater and sports. He especially enjoys accompanying Julie, who is an RN, on medical missions to the remote regions of Guatemala and Honduras, where he has had the opportunity of assisting an eye surgical team by taking medical histories and eye exams, providing Spanish translation and other support services. He has found these medical missions to be his favorite annual “vacation.”
Mr. Crandall is also an active outdoor enthusiast who enjoys skiing, water sports, hunting, fishing, backpacking, golf, cycling and swimming. Above all else, the time he values the most is that spent with his children, their spouses, and his grandchildren.
